because life's beautiful.: #11. campfire's burning

For today, we had movie screening in the morning! Played ratatouille for the kids to watch but i think it’s too cheem for them already :X shucks. Even though the dvd had bahasa subs i think it was too fast for them to catch. Quite sad actually.

Lunch was good! We had egg with curry and cabbage! :D yumsssss. (: then after lunch was more slacking time and i started on the book i borrowed from debo, the shadow of the wind by carlos riuz zafon. (: it’s not bad really! :D i’ve already reached chapter 10 so it’s been going well (: i think i should be able to finish it by the end of the trip!

After slacking for a while, we started preparing the campfire and I actually helped chop the firewood! (: quite fun. Haha. Then while waiting for the guys to continue setting up we talked to the young girls and they said reallllyyyy shocking things! Like are they really observant or are they just plain lucky? I can barely guess. But subsequent interaction hints that it was out of pure luck really. But i feel that the kids are liking me more already (: not a bad thing but not a good thing either, considering that i’m leaving really soon ): sigh.

After playing with the young guys and girls (one boy has all his balloons filled with water and they all burst!) arkimi weaved me something with the leaves he found on the field! :D super niceeee. :D he taught me how to make it somemore so i end up having two of them. Heh! Then Charles gave me a balloon dog somemore :D really happy!

After playing with the kids, the campfire started! Ernie was suffering from a bad headache so i quickly brought her to ibu and she suggested panadol. I quickly prepared one for her and thank God she was feeling better after that! I would have been very sad if she cant enjoy the campfire properly...

Campfire was wonderfullll :D we sang some campfire songs like jean’s oh my cekcek and chiker cha thing! There was father Abraham too! seeing the kids having so much fun was so fulfilling :) we played the ball passing game too and made the kids dance as forfeit! Super cuteeee :D

After that we rested for dinner then continued with peace by the river with actions and danced to speedy gonzola! Huihui’s creation. :D haha super duper fun! Ernie super loves dancing hahaha. She’s super adorable :D we finally did the nias dance together and it was goooood :D i finally mastered their steps heh. Will really miss these kids loadsss!

Finally we played with sparklers and the kids really enjoyed themselves :D i think it was their first time actually playing with it! But initially it was worrying because they threw the sparklers dangerously, but thank God no one was hurt. Ibu told the kids off and so they started playing much safely :) but cos they were littering the whole place i had to go around picking up the used sticks cos i was worried that they might accidentally step on them and get injured.

Too bad there was lightning or else we could have continued the dance session! Unleash the clubber in the kids haha! But they are seriously good when it comes to dancing! Kuliaman has seriously some good moves (: hahaha.
