NIAS #2 Day 3. to the south :)

I woke up feeling great and in disbelief that i’m actually hearing the voices of the children again. Slept another hour before finally getting out of the bed. After breakfast and slacking around, we headed off to visit the village. Went to manny’s house together with dirikan and reston to help set up a new bed frame for the family. The house is really small and old and so we were thinking of what we could do for them if we were given a chance to go back.

Then took another 4 hour bus ride to telok dalum. Ate our lunch there and then proceeded on our long way back to the home. Talked to liya along the way back and it was a good htht session about rodents and other stuffs. Omg.

Had some pit stops along the way and thank goodness i took anti motion sickness pills. Phew.

Reached the orphanage at about 7plus. Ate our yummy dinner (: but the very careless me broke a glass and erni being the very very nice person accompanied me to pick up the pieces. We slowly picked it up but erni accidentally cut herself ): ): but thankfully it was okay. Cleaned up her wound a little and accompanied her outside our dorm.

Hendricrus came out shortly with two bats and a shuttlecock and so i started playing pseudo badminton with him! It was super duper fun (: Charles was our umpire for the game lol! The kids were all getting high. Eventually after Daniel and ryan came out i decided i should go bathe instead before the lights go out. Wished i could play more with hendri!

Visited the devotion room after that and watched the girls and boys practice their Christmas performance. The younger kids were just hanging around and so i passed my camera to them and they took a few awesome shots! :D shall post it after i come back and make the rest jealous hohoho. Devotion was just a short prayer since everyone was already tired from practising.

After that we sat outside the devotion till about 10 plus. I sat with immelda and mei and it was nice talking to them! Learnt some bahasa nias from them and it was so interesting. I think i know how to form sentences a little better now :) need to learn bahasa quick so that i can communicate with the children more!
