goodbye.

Resilient? No. Determined? Nah. Strong? Definitely not.

All the qualities that may be key to last long in the organisation, I don't have it. How long more? I ask myself. It's no longer a matter of whether to leave or not, its just a matter of when.

I think it's really the suicide effect. When someone close leaves, the same thoughts would naturally come. Now that one would be gone, probably meant that my workload would probably increase by a large proportion again, which would only serve the strengthen all the push factors.

Definitely not getting strength from the work I do, the sole reason I may be here is the people I'm with. I don't see anything wrong with it, just happens that its not going to bring me through all the shit once they are gone, or once the shit outweighs all the fun I'm having.

Looks like I really have to take these 5 days to properly think abt what I'm going to do for the next bits of my life. I don't want to live with regrets, and no matter how people talk about living their dream or pursuing their passions, sometimes what we really need is having that cash to do it. Where I am is definitely giving me the express route when it comes to this. (I'm being very practical here.) I just have to decide how long I'll need to sacrifice to simply have the ability to pursue my passions.

Meanwhile, bon voyage to myself. I find this incredibly apt to be typing this before I disappear from the face of the world for 5 days. That's the awesomeness of holidays. Hopefully I'll have an answer that satisfies me by the time I'm back :)

3rd month.

Hello blog, its been quite some time. :) just wanna say that life's been pretty good so far, with the exception of work issues (which everyone has). :D

Having an extra reason to head to office every morning or staying late at some nights certainly helped to get me real excited about working heehee! Plus awesome friends like pam huiqing and mavis certainly made life so much more fun!!! Totally love hanging out with them! (:

Been a little too happy the past few days, starting to be a little worried that sometime those shitty feelings may be back to haunt me :\ but on a side note, at least I'm going on holiday next week, and will have much much time to catch up with sleep and do something different from the usual routine. Then again, before that happens I better clear up the loose ends...

And my next hol has been decided!!! Vietnam with 78 girls end March next year :D can't believe we cfmed it within 48 hours, and even got all the air tickets ready!! Super impromptu. Super efficient. HAHA. And super good deal too - 43.50 per person!! OMG. Now I'm officially excited for our first overseas trip together :D gonna be so awesome!! (And josephyeo is gg to be so jealous!)

Lying on my bed now and just about to fall asleep... Gotta bathe first though, or else at least remove the makeup on my face so i wouldn't get more pimples than i currently have. Eeks. And so, life's good. Thank God for awesome friends, really :)

23rd.

view from BAC at seletar aerospace park :)

no longer sounds like an awesome number, to be frank :P

haha but at least i know that i'm finally 23, unlike ying2 who somehow thought that we are all going to be 24 this year -____-lll hurrrrr.

anyway, spent the day working as usual, just that i didn't plan out any meetings for the day, we really felt super good :) could just focus on chionging work and looking forward to dinner with family at home. heehee. and not to forget, just as i was thinking that it wouldn't be possible to be "surprised" again (unlike previous years spent in hall), my colleagues actually surprised me in starbucks :D so awesome of them!!

and i have to say, the past year really went by so quickly.

last year at this time, i just got my offer for the job, and was mugging in mae nexus tgt with kennethkoh yuenling lance and a few others. then i remembered going back hall and my awesome 46 & come6 friends surprised me big time with the ipod touch and an awesome cake :) the next day foinix came over too, and even though their surprise sorta failed i was really touched by the effort! heehee. past years were similarly awesome, there was the usual ocip ppl in yr 3, then jace and ahmean came all the way in yr 1 & 2. :D to be frank, i'm truly blessed to have such awesome friends all my life. :)

as for all who wished me this year, especially the constants in my life - i'm really thankful. i won't be able to list them one by one like i did in the past (simply because i really wanna spend this little time i have now to do the things i really wanna do), but i think at this point in life i sorta know who are the friends who will last a long time and who aren't. it's really not surprising to see less wishes now, but more importantly, i do see more wishes that are sincere and true. thankful the quality of friendships that i have :)

and yeaps, it was truly thanksgiving. on thursday i finally went for my first alpha with the CF team in EDB, and it was so awesome :) the whole conversational on Jesus' death on the cross and the significance of it was truly interesting, and the questions the pre-believers asked really got me thinking. i'm really so thankful for such a christian presence in the workplace - these are really the people who i know are very sincere and true, God-fearing and God-loving, and so willing to go out of their way for others even though they may be so busy with work. Especially wesley joseph and leisuan, who have been so packed with work and their personal lives but could nonetheless still put in the effort to organise everything. it was truly heartening to see such a big turnout at the alpha that day - i can only say, daddy God is the awesomest. looking forward to the next alpha and the next ikthus already :)

i know i'm extremely incoherent now, but i just wanna add that i really feel that i've aged by 3 years since I started work. hahaha. this is bad, really gotta make a constant effort to ensure that my life doesn't suffer. gosh.

looking back at year #22 of my life, it has been truly amazing. people came into my life and left, things happened, and hearts fluttered, and most importantly, i went through a couple of turning points in my life. i'd like to think that i've grown up a lot in the past year, and learnt multitudes and multitudes in different aspects including life, work and everything else. while i expect #23 to be less exciting, i suppose it'll nonetheless be great! heehe.

and hopefully i can just find that someone special, get married, and quit my job. HAHAHA.
just kidding :D

now s-gcbs, where are you? :P

2.5 months.

sorry blog for ostracising you all these while. work has been sucking my life away bit by bit, to the extent that i no longer dare to plan dinners on weekdays for fear of having to pangseh. :/ i'm sorry friends if i have been rejecting or ignoring you... please whatsapp or call me once in a while so that we can at least keep our friendship going yeah.

anyway, just a quick update. it's 1am which means i need to sleep really soon in case i sleep the sunday morning away. not exactly a good idea cos weekends are now SUPER precious. oh my.

and yeaps, ying and i have started lessons officially :D something i've wanted to do for some time, and something i hope would be really enjoyable. will be into our 4th lesson this coming tuesday and i really do hope to see some improvement sooooon. haha. got new specs with ying and grace today after visiting many optics shops in suntec! :DD the wooden frames like chen you qing's :P super looking forward to get it - i'll be finally super cool whenever i wear it to work! :D

and i've finally restocked everything that i needed over the span of the month since my first pay came in :) it really feels good to be able to afford the things i need! now it's really about fully utilising the miserable leftovers of my monthly salary after paying back my debts in instalments. looking forward to december already :D

on a random note, i must've looked really stressed this week. my buddy and bosses took turns to talk to me - the serious, close the door, in a room kind of discussions. a bit scary, but i'm sorta glad that they are concerned. at least now i hope they would be giving me a little more leeway as i ramp up.

and did i mention time really flies when you're working full time? note the word full time, cos time during internships can get REALLY slow due to the lack of work. now i have too much, and time is no longer ever enough. i can only hope that the accumulated work will not increase in magnitude too quickly, and that i'll be able to catch up on those nitty gritty stuff in december when everything slows down thanks to the festive season. thank God for christmas, really.

oh - thank God for adventure learning last week too! got to know my induction mates a lot better now, and i foresee some of them being my really good friends in the future. (: and those two days were really enjoyable! minus some of the cheesy games we were made to play, i had to say just the idea of not having to do work and still being paid is AWESOME. just that i almost died when i opened my email on monday. HAHA. well, we always need to make some sacrifices.

went to the zoo last saturday to help bring some elderly around :D was wheeling uncle loke, a 75 year old man around, and he was really quiet. but i was surprisingly comfortable with it and nevertheless continued telling him about what he was seeing. i really hoped he enjoyed himself given that it was his first visit to the zoo. (: too bad quiet uncle didn't seem too good and expressing his feelings. :( oh well. but overall it was enjoyable and really meaningful, plus i got to know a few of the edbians too! :D heehee.

okay, i think that's all i have. SAD. very uneventful life huh.

differences.

just wanted to share some happy penguins.

yanzi's newest blogpost was amazing and i just wanted to share it:

A beautiful point in Singapore politics, made by one wise man (George Yeo) and pointed out by another (Chen Show Mao): "To be a human being is to be different. The whole logic and driving force of biological life is diversification. An imposed unity is a false unity; it’s a contradiction in terms." Mr Chen Show Mao also said in the same speech "..differences are not divisions. It is the intolerance of differences that will be divisive. "

the translated chinese version was even more amazing:

"人人生而不同。生物生命的整个逻辑体系和推动力在于多样化。强加的统一是虚假的统一;是一种自相矛盾的说法。”

“差异并不是分歧,不可调和的差异才将最终导致分裂。”

-+-
on a side note, had an awesome night yesterday yuenling kennethkoh lance gordon and fangjing. we saw sengwah and thyeboon at the gelato shop in chijmes and i can only say... singapore's really small. haha.

drank my whole month's worth of alcohol and felt much better somewhat after feeling so shitty for so long. 借酒消愁-ing. think at this rate i'd probably need to get drunk by the end of this year.

and rr's facility was OMG. i can't believe kennethkoh's working in such an awesome place! and haha the perks of being an edb officer - i get to visit many many places. :D which always somehow makes me reconsider being an engineer. after all, sciences and math have always been my strengths, not gp, not english, not history, not social studies. oh gosh, i might have taken up a wrong job after all.

anyway, horrible things aside, i'm glad for all my dearest friends :) at the kind of society we all live in, the only thing other than God that can really keep me living is the people in my life. phew.

jaded.

maybe this job really isn't meant for me, and i'm simply not cut out for it. and if i really can't see a future in this, should i just pack up and leave, and stop wasting my time and everyone's time?

felt exceptionally inferior today when i looked at j's work and the way he's been working. just 2 more months of experience, but he really seemed to be doing so well and being so into the job, or perhaps for him, the career. i'm lagging behind so much, and i can't seem to catch up at all, or perhaps, i don't even think i ever can.

i really don't think i actually met anyone's expectations, even though some may say i set too high expectations to myself. it just seemed so hard for me to learn everything so quickly - there's so much information to remember, so many things to consider, so many messages to deliver, and just too many things to do. my brain becomes so saturated by the end of the day (actually, by early afternoon) and eventually all the information seem to leak out from somewhere and then i just couldn't recall whenever i desperately need to.

i do my work and try to meet my deadlines, but i'm neither motivated nor driven. i can't sense the passion burning in me, though i do know that i enjoy many people's company in office. but if these are the things that keep me going, then i'd say soon enough they will no longer be big enough reasons to justify staying.

just so frustrated with my incompetence. i'm so tired of trying so hard and not reaping results.

just wanna fucking give it all up.

#5.

OMG it's going to be monday again.

and btw, i've officially survived my first 4 weeks of working life :D it's been so fast and furious i don't really know how i should be reacting to this hahaha. in the month, i've moved from happy to stressed to angry to happy and back to stressed again. still many bouts of stress but i guess it's cope-able at the very least :)

and thank God i have been leaving work pretty much on time :D latest 7.30. even though i do bring home some work to do i still am thankful for being able to have some me time (:

and yes, also thank God for the many awesome people around, like a & d who helped me a big deal when buddy k's not around, and for pam and mav for being there whenever i needed to whine and complain about work. rvians rock big time even in edb :D hahaha.

and as for work, hurhurhurrrrrr. met two execs on my own and attempted to settle some prob with another coy on my own too. client engagement can get really difficult because of all the prep work, all the whatever unexpected questions they might ask, and even the small talk. i'm definitely not used to acting shou as les would say but at least i see myself improving. like my phone call with coy B turned out to be perfectly all right and i ended up building some rapport too with some common understanding of the problem we were facing. :) phewwwww. and as for coy H, the meeting went well despite me having to handle alone for the first 20 mins. there were so much things i could improve on though, as i thought back of all the things i've said and done. arghhhhh. at least i've managed to set the table for the next meeting tmr. phew.

oh yes, the 3-mornings 101 course was awesome too! wooots. not to forget awesome breakfasts. i'm liking the modules despite how it actually takes some of my work time away (and btw workload does NOT decrease even when you're on course lolll)

as for social life, i can't rmb what sort of social life i had over the past week. HAHA. ooops. i do remember watching F1 from my office tower together with 3 other colleagues while drinking beer and playing monopoly deal! haha awesomeness! and the cars look like toy cars from the building. haha. and they don't look like they're driving super fast too. o.O

oh yes, and dinner and beer with herny den and darius on friday! ate bbq chicken with herny and darius and the 3 of us ended up eating 4 people's share. o.O happens that every time i'm out with them we ALWAYS eat more than usual. -___- the unfortunate result of nz days hahaha. but its nice to hear all the hokkien terms again (note the use of word TERMS and not VULGARITIES hahaha) after all the very angmoh environment that i'm at haha. it was like 3 plus by the time i was home. gosh.

yesterday night was awesome too! ate peperoni with the 4g peeps and we had almost full attendance! haha 90% woots. pizza's really awesome and so was the bus ride to city hall :D i decided to join the polo peeps at timbre for about 2hours at first then head back to look for them but i ended up staying with the polo peeps :/ oops. but to be frank i'm too poor to butter and timbre's just a place i really love. wooooots. sigh better join them the next time or else i'll incur the wrath of them :/

but yeah, timbre's awesome :D had 2 pints of beer and another tequila on the rocks :D i think i needed much more alcohol to be frank but i decided shall not spend anymore (poor shiahzy was treating haha). oh yes, the live band was not bad too! called today's special. gotta check them out next time :) i wanna watch the goodfellas in action though!

okay end of update. i'm too tired to continue typing. time to continue hataraki man.

+ guaishou's! :D

end of week 3.

awesome but not-so-awesome week.

just when i thought i'm finally getting used to work i got all stressed up again today o.O and yes i know, feeling all swamped up with work and feeling useless and stupid are all part of the process of ramping up... i've heard that over and over again but sometimes i really feel like packing up and leave.

like you know, i'm meant for other things.

like playing the keyboard in a band in a pub.
like training for a competition coming up in a month's time.

or maybe even operating some machine in an aerospace company or doing some experiments in a lab.

arghhhhhhhhhh. but one thing's for sure - even though i might not exactly like the work, i love the place i'm working at, and that includes the people i'm working with. :) and there are really cool aspects of the job, minus the client engagement, report writing, and business consulting, i get to do cool stuff like eating free awesome food with clients and going for all kinds of site visits in the aerospace companies. i'm really looking forward to my trip two weeks later at changi airport, on board an SQ to check out how the technicians conduct maintenance on the IFE systems. like helllloooo HOW COOL IS THAT.

haha. still trying to find some time to visit the RR facility in seletar and perhaps STA to find some old friends! but all not within my portfolio ): gotta stick to my colleagues. roars. but it'll be so awesome to explore! really an eye opener especially after learning so much theory stuff in the past 4 years. finally can see them in action! :D :D

and so yeah, generally i'm pretty much excited about work still la. just that client engagement can really get very tiring (like thurs where i had THREE external meetings gosh including a networking session with all the aerospace/aviation peeps). i find it hard to say the correct things at the correct times, and sometimes i just have nothing to say at all which results in those awkward pauses. oh gosh totally HATE the awkwardness. and report writing is such a huge headache and i spend most of the time trying to word it a certain way instead of thinking of the actual content itself. pain in the neck i tell you. and i'm really not that a good writer you know. all those passive vs. active, business writing, quantitative vs. qualitative words etc. etc. omg omg omg.

and one conclusion i've made: SCGS girls are reallllyyyy good at writing. omg.

anyway, on a lighter note, social life's pretty awesome. tuesday's the ntu networking session (the very same one where the hr head tricked me into applying then with her description of the engine: "suck squeeze bang blow" haha) and it was funny how all those aero juniors came over to talk to me! and they had the exact same concerns as all of us last year heehee. i think i managed to look quite zai despite working for three weeks heehee. and you know, apparently natalie thought that i have been in edb for like 2 months plus already, so imagine how shocked she was when i told her i'm actually just 2.5 weeks old. -____- no wonder i was thinking why i so fast can go networking session alr. /faints.

but i was really glad i went (: ntu is such a homely place seriously. especially when i went back hall after the event! total loveeeeeeeee. heehee everyone was around! toh fw clem yuto germ wt miang! :D we were all talking outside fw's room and it was so awesomeeee :) yays. too bad we were all tired or had many things to do so we chatted for an hour plus then went back to our rooms / home. long enough actually :D warm and fuzzy all over!

thursday night was the SCRAPS event, some quarterly thingy meant for aviation professionals to network around, but the key thing was.... it's organised by EMBRAER! haha imagine the shock i had when i first heard about it :D and in the end i really got to know super a lot of the professionals (networking... gosh) plus the best part of it - got to catch up with my ex-colleagues at embraer! :) cervantes was really shocked to see me, but he was still super friendly nonetheless and even gave me a welcome hug o.O haha brazillians are really passionate people (marine hugged too!) haha. caught up with him for a long while and he even taught me a few networking tricks. hahaha. amazing guy i would have to say, and even until now i'm learning so much from him. have to vote him for the most awesome IA supervisor if there's such an award. and he really makes me feel guilty for not going back there... roars.

yongren was around too and again he was pretty shocked! and wilson was even more omg! he came over to my group meaning to talk to the MD Av guy, andden when he turned around to introduce himself to us his eyes opened super widely and jaw dropped and exclaimed, "look who we have here!!!" andden we started catching up and i handed him my name card hahaha. a little sad that wilson's going back to brazil too :( he was so funny trying to speak in chinese during my internship!

really miss internship days at embraer sometimes. but again, perhaps it was only the people that were truly awesome and not quite so for the work :/ fussy me.

and TGIF! today dated pam after work heehee. we had quite some fun in office after 7pm observing the race cars zooming past from the 26th floor of our building while chatting with mavis huiqing and jonyap haha. super awesome view! thinking of going down on sunday to watch the finals from above and drink some beer with jovin and some of the other TE peeps heehee. should be quite awesome!

after that pam and i ended up eating KFC at bugis then visiting some toy shop at iluma (25% off tin toys! all thanks to j woooooots) and by the time we went on our way home it was already 9.45. omg really super tired haha. but so thankful for the weekend, it has been quite a stressful week and to be frank i've so much things piled up already. pfft. think will have to do some work over the weekend. cannot be like last week and slack so much alr :( boooooo.

and uhhh. thinking whether should go polo tomorrow. i'm so tireddddddd. :O :O

+ guaishou's! :D

week #3.

amazingly i'm on my third week of work already, and somehow it does feel like i've been on the job for quite some time. especially when i read all those reports and see those funny terms - it just feels as if i knew these info for a long long time (thanks to the fact that those things appear really frequently).

i'm starting to get used to this crazily steep learning curve and this hectic lifestyle where work becomes the main thing, and now that i can barely manage some work-life balance i'm more thankful than i've ever been in these two weeks :)

wanted to keep an account of me coping with work, because i foresee myself reading this again a year later, thinking back how it feels to be fresh. and when the time comes when i become someone else's buddy, i do hope i'll be someone understanding and helpful, just like how my buddy's been to me. it's precisely because she's this nice that i really don't want to disappoint her, and as much as possible, i want to be someone useful.

anyhow, time for some updates. minimal social activity last week, probably cos i'm just super tired and lazy. haha.

mon night met my dad at west mall to get my new phone! :D after much struggling, i decided on the htc sensation over the samsung galaxy s2 (since i really think deep down inside i wanted that decide S2 being a better phone according to reviews) :D dad paid for it! :)) haha super awesome! and now that i'm on corp plan, i don't have to pay a single cent and yet get an awesome plan. heeehee. and the best thing is, i'm finally on data! hehhhh. no more "limited to wifi availability" on whatsapp :D

wed night met j for dinner plus walked around ion to shop for a pair of work heels and flats. managed to get a pair of heels after two hours of trying in 12837123 shoe shops, and thank God for j or else i seriously think i might choose the pair that i don't really like instead. this current pair i have now is pretty awesome and it better lasts till i get my first pay. can't afford another pair for now!

saturday had dboat comp in the morning, and all 4 edb boats didn't make it more than the heats. hahaha. but it was fun nonetheless! we talked rubbish much, joked around, and i intro-ed my TE people to my mum who was there for the comp too hahaha. and jon yap subsequently kept calling her "auntie seraya" -_____- seriously haha. went for prata at thomson after that andden new friend mel drove me back home! :D yayyyy.

went out to meet ki and geok for supper at udders west mall at night, and ki and i shared mao shan wang + awesomely choc with waffles which was super awesomeeeeee :D heehee. talked many many things too then went over to bt gombak where jeremin joined us for alif. we were stalking chia sen kai (our old physics teacher who apparently seemed interested in ki last time hahaha) on facebook and we saw his new born baby and his wife! OMG. haha. it was quite funny how we really managed to find him in the end. so random. anyway supper at alif was awesome. :) it was very chillax and the prata and maggi goreng were simply delicious. heehee. so we talked till 12 andden caught our last trains/buses back home.

sunday was another really awesome day! played street soccer andden bball at ntu with the 07 polo peeps and it was SUPER fun :D starting to really love street soccer now! :D haha super funny chih and jingxin kept passing me the ball near the goal post but i kept shooting all over the place except within the goal post. LOL. but i still managed to score two la. out of almost twenty attempts HAHA. but yayyyy i feel like i'm improving fast after playing twice! at least can stop the ball and pass accurately hehhh. really hope it becomes a weekly thing for us! and bball too omg. i haven't played till my heart's content for this long :) woooooooooots.

went to church after that, then rushed to gv marina to watch the mayday 3D concert with rina wenbin beehui and beehian! haha to be frank i was a little awkward watching mayday in 3D HAHA. like guaishou's face right in front andden you see all the concert footage and that sudden rush in adrenaline that makes you feel like standing up, waving your hands up in the air, and sing along with them. i'm like conditioned to do that already, after so many years.

but i reminded myself how retarded i'll probably looked so i just sat in my comfortable seat, mouthing the lyrics along while looking at guaishou's face. hahahaha.

while watching the movie, i thought back about my very first encounter with mayday, and now it's been 7 years since then. it's quite funny how everything's changed since then - i was still in rv, then they followed me into hc, through my canoeing days, to ntu life, and now finally, work. it's like, so many things may change, including me and the things around, but what stays constant is really mayday. i still love the same old songs, love the same old band, and will probably still be that fan girl all the time for the rest of my life. it's pretty heartening to think it that way. :)

haha but of cos, no more screaming, no more chasing, no more queueing three hours before they step onto the stage. i've already become a super mild fan girl hahahahaha.

and so that's how my life has been. planning two more dinners this week and a few other meetups over the weekend. hope everything goes well! :D

no one owes you a living.

dear huiwen,

stop being a spoilt brat. everyone has to work in order to live. that's just life, ACCEPT IT.

be thankful that at least you're being surrounded by awesome people in an awesome working environment, and STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING TO WORK.

and lastly, GROW UP, however unwilling you may be.

yours sincerely,
self.

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

at least its thursday tomorrow already.

hello life.

been ostracising my blog ever since work started.

i'm sorry, my long-time friend. for abandoning you like this. but now every second, every minute at night is uber precious, and i don't know how long more i can keep with such long nights to myself because very soon i know work will all pile up and eat what's left of me.

but anyway, just some quick updates.
  1. almost halfway of week two. work's easy so far, full of introductory meetings, plus loads and loads of readings so that i won't look like an idea when i head out to the cruel world. am slowly getting the things right bit by bit, and hopefully by the end of this week i can strike an intelligent conversation with those industry professionals.
  2. social life is still ongoing. thank God for that. i met like 4 different groups of friends just last week. awesome much!
  3. christian presence in office is surprisingly strong! loves thursday fellowships and i foresee it'll really gives me the support that i'll need in the future. thank God again.
  4. got a new phone and a new plan earlier tonight :D will take another 3 days for the data plan to activate, but anyway i'm currently loving my brand new htc sensation!
  5. hcanoe pvsp and hwachong maf last saturday were awesomeeeeeeeeeeee. :D wants pvsp to happen again next year! and next time i'll definitely drag more ex-teammies along!
  6. having a new phone also means that i finally won't have to see those texts in my old samsung again. maybe this will help in recovery.
  7. loves my working environment (: it fits my personality and working style totally! just that i'm not sure about the nature of the work itself... but i do hope so!
  8. officially misses school. and especially hall 9 and the people.
  9. neeeeds to go back hall sooooon!
  10. dad was sick last saturday ): gout. this really reminds me how old my parents truly are. gotta show more concern from now on!
and that's it for now. gotta continue playing with my new toy :D

+ guaishou's! :D

day two.

i'm 40% done with the week already! faster than i expected it to be haha.

and i have to say, within these two days i've seemed to learn so much more than i did in the past 1.5 months after nz... okay, maybe not, since i've really learnt quite a lot in those 1.5 months too. but it's just A LOT anyway... you get my point.

while readings are now still fun and interesting (to be frank, i thought i'd be pretty bored reading stuff but that's totally not true!) and i'm glad what i've read will be the bulk of what i'll be doing. i have an awesome buddy who sits just behind me, and she's so similar to me that it freaks me out at times (like we both don't like to eat mooncakes with those salted eggs and we don't really care what enters our mouths since we'll run it out). not only that, she's been a great friend and mentor both at the same time and so it's so much fun working with her! it's amazing how much stuff she learnt in the past two years. i get so impressed and confused at the same time! and she's definitely someone i can look up to! :)

office environment's really nice i have to say! things are flexible here, but not to the point of being uncontrolled or unstructured and so it's really great. the people are generally young (for example, the 4 of us sitting together are like 25 and below) and fun-loving, and jokes are really never ending. :D i feel so comfortable talking to them about many things and it really doesn't feel like i've only been here for 2 days (though technically i've known them for 6 months already, even though i've met them only thrice before starting). the others outside of my department have been really friendly too, and laughters are like always present around the office.

oh yes, i got to know a fellow fresh grad who entered equally late (having returned from UK just 5 days before day 1) and it was really awesome talking to him. :) it's amazing how God plans things ahead for me! i think He really knew how nervous i was about this whole "day one" thing and so He planted ivan there - someone who loves the Father equally or if not more than i do, someone who also believes that being here at this point of time must be God's divine intervention, and somehow who would reassure me on how He is always there for us and with us. it's quite funny how people instantly connects whenever they talk about God, and how barriers break down and the love of God overflows.

anyway so that's how it went. ivan and i will be joining pam and the other christians in office for weekly fellowship this thursday! really looking forward to it! hope there'll be a short worship session too. :) and i can't believe that God's presence is THIS big in office until pam described to me. it's an amazing coincidence!

one thing is that i'll still need to get used to having minimal time for myself (4 hours at night if i do leave office on time) and having less than enough sleep most of the days. it'll just get worse for the next couple of weeks, but once i get the hang of everything i know it'll be better again. and this week's already very nice especially since i'm not meeting anyone on the weekdays except for friday because i was thinking i'd probably need some time to transit to the working life before i can include some of my social activities in. oh well. but next week gotta start meeting friends on a regular basis before i get used to the social-less life. no thanks to that.

anyhow, it's been a great two days. steep learning curve, but i'm constantly reminded how He is always with me and now every time i think about it i feel much more confident of myself and my God-given abilities. whatever i can't do, He'll make it happen. and so despite how tough the road ahead seems, i'm sure i'll be able to do well and that eventually i'll be part of God's much bigger plans.

If God is for us, who could be against us?

:/ :/

i'm unbelievably nervous for tomorrow.

i think it's the idea of being in a totally new phase of life, a kind of routine, and the possibility of how time will zoom past from now on, like a express ride to the end of life o.O

goshhhhhhhh, i can't believe 3.5months just ended like that.

but some friends gave me awesome quotes regarding tomorrow:
  1. rud: "aiyoo.... this is the reason why you've been studying so hard all these while!"
  2. pam: " Anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but only empties today of its strength. - Charles Spurgeon"
  3. pastor prince: " work for your King, not for the kingdom nor for men!"
  4. gpang: "don't worry, you'll have fun."

o.O hahaha. okay, shall just sleep early. i hope public transport will be kind to me tomorrow!!

whatever happened to dreams.

i was suddenly thinking about the numerous dreams i had while showering just now. and it simply shows how fickle i've always been, ever since i was born.

my dreams.

6 to 9 - doctor (from watching those hk medical dramas)

10 to 12 - lawyer (from watching those hk crime/justice dramas)

13 to 15 - scientist/researcher (being in RV sorta made me wanna be a scientist... thanks to all those research shit that rv teachers always make us do)

16 - doctor (inspired by jap medical dramas)

17 - nothing much (too shag from canoeing)

18 - doctor (after much careful thought into what i really want to do for the rest of my life.)

19 - aerospace engineer (my 2nd choice after being rejected from med school HAHA)

20 - air stewardess for 5 years then business woman (so that i can go fly around the world)

21 - marketer (inspired by another jap drama)

22 - student

and so this is how my life evolved over the years. i wish i could get paid for studying something i really love. like music, drama, or some artsy fartsy stuff.

and i'm really very influenced by dramas. OMG.

WOAH.

i think i wrote quite well la! :P

-+-

After more than 30 years of development in the aerospace industry, Singapore has earned a reputation of being the key aerospace hub in the region, providing 21%, or rather US$4.6b to the Asian Aerospace Industry , while being the largest MRO center in Asia Pacific with two big names: SIA Engineering Company and ST Aerospace. Considering the presence of countries like Japan, Korea and China, this is a very significant figure bearing in mind the physical size of Singapore. While having a sophisticated network of infrastructure, research and development entities, and a strong aviation industry, there are still many challenges that we have to overcome in order to strengthen our position as the region’s aerospace hub.

The current challenges faced by Singapore’s Aerospace industries are to continue expanding the MRO market by increasing access and furthering the growth in depth and scope of MRO capabilities (with engine overhaul covering about 50% of the total MRO revenue while component repair being 30% ), to increase the type of work done in Singapore to fields such as design and development, as well as to produce skilled and talented workforce so as to provide a solution to the shortage of qualified maintenance engineers . Singapore’s aerospace industry is largely represented by MRO and its related services at 70%, and it is expected to continue growing in the next few years to come .

With Singapore being a strong financial center, EDB could tap on our existing strengths in the financial sector by developing related services such as asset management in order to aid MRO companies in exploring new markets and expanding existing ones (by allowing MRO companies to fully utilise the equipment that they possess to get the most out of it). EDB can also encourage the advancement of financing and leasing services in addition to the current MRO services that we offer.

At the same time, there is a need to overcome the problem of the shortage of skilled engineers. The main deterring factors for trained workforce from entering the industry is the increased pressure on the job as well as the high possibility of shift work and long hours. Moreover, there are little opportunities for career progression, making it especially unpopular among skilled labour in Singapore . This is further worsened by the fact that other sectors such as banking and finance are seen to be much more attractive in terms of remuneration and career development. To retain trained workforce, EDB can encourage aerospace companies to develop a corporate system that allows for career progression while marketing aerospace engineer as a career by clearing up the general perception of the public and undergraduates. Moreover, for aerospace graduates from the polytechnics, 2-year degree programs such as those offered by Singapore Institute of Technology currently could be offered to such graduates who are interested to stay in the industry, unlike the current 4-year degree program in NTU that polytechnic graduates have to take. With an increased pool of skilled labour, there will be more incentives for aerospace companies to invest in Singapore.

With an expected increase in air traffic and aircraft fleets over the years to come especially in the Asia-Pacific region, there is a much potential for growth in the aerospace industry. Singapore must constantly improve itself in order to tap the full potential of the growth and to maintain its reputation as an aerospace hub.

updatesssssss.

havent been updating proper since hocc ended, which was like 9 days ago! :/ and it's been really eventful thus far so i shall spend some time updating.

10 March 2011.

HOCC aka hall olympiad closing ceremony! :D met the crew at 12 for lunch then at 2 we started doing our hair & makeup. proceeded to the audi after that for some briefing and some of the halls were already rehearsing, and omg it felt so surreal. like, it's tonight.

after stoning ard for an hour or so, we had our final run on stage before the real thing. continued prepping until it was almost time, and then we spent the last few moments marking the steps once again. and omg, it was so freaking close.

when it was finally near our turn, we went down, drank our red bulls, each said some words of encouragement, and WHOOOOOSH here we go! :) and then began my first big dance concert after so many years of my life :D probably the last one too, so i told myself i would leave nothing for regrets.

and you know, that 6 minutes went by so quickly. it was so surreal, and as cheesy as it sounds, it felt like a dream. you know, the moment the lights shine, the moment the music plays, the moment you're up on stage with everyone else after 2 months of hard work, the moment when the audience claps and cheers for you, it's damn amazing. when i left the stage, all i remembered was that instant, that moment.

i was thankful that i wasn't nervous, when i really expected myself to. just like when i went down for polo ivp, just like before my jam band's performance, just like me having my piano exams or before the worship ministry auditions. having God in mind really kept me calm and composed, and allowed me to think clearly and rationally. and despite the tsunami of emotions that came after, i managed to be myself :)

ahhh it's been too long so it's getting difficult to describe the multitude of emotions i felt. but one thing for sure - this would definitely be one of the moments i'll always remember as part of my uni life. and never for once have i regretted joining dance in my final year. :) all the efforts, the time, and sweat paid off, and i've taken an awesome memory back home :D

11 March 2011.

awx's 23rd b-day concert! :D supposed to accompany 4 pieces that night, 2 with awx's randomly formed band, and another with ying2 and andy each. but andy pangseh-ed and ying2 came too late so all i did was the two songs :X haha. but it's still very awesome! loves awx's bday parties. always very simple and relaxing and there's always 78-ers to catch up with! and haha it was pam's first time coming heh! nd & ying came late :(

oh yes, the mini concert was awesome :) awx has many talented friends who can perform at any bar anytime. made us 78-ers feel real inferior haha. oh and the two songs (how to save a life & you found me by the fray) that was pretty much a constant for the past three years turned out very well for a band that sorta formed on the spot - with me on the piano, awx singing and on the bass, another 2 other guitarists and a guy playing the cajon. can't wait for the video! i screwed up a little but i hope it isn't obvious. :D

12 March 2011.

first canoepolo trg in three weeks o.O ohmytian. had to drag myself out of bed!

13 March 2011.

paddles & logs! :D after spending the previous day helping fw with the groupings and settling some last minute things, my 2nd adhoc event was finally here! :D gathered at bedok reservoir early in the morning and slacked at the pavilion for quite a bit. kayaking officially began at 9.30 with a safety briefing heh. went down at 10, and then the programmers took over for the games :D

oh yeah almost forgot to mention, three safety kayakers joined us and i realised that two of them were ex-canoepolo players!!! one from sp and the other ntu o.O omg it's a small small world. played with the volleyball we brought down for a bit andden they proceeded a whole day of bullying :/ inclusive of holding my boat and insisting that i paddle to somewhere far! roarssssss.

haha but the kayaking portion was a bit of a flop la. very hard to give instructors and km had a hard time trying to get everyone to listen :P but haha i think for kayaking maybe a lot of people just wanna row around and slack so it didn't matter much. heh.

after kayaking was lunch break! i decided to go look for people that i would possibly know at the sprint area wooots! NJCC was going on and you can't believe how secretly excited i am :P after all it was the comp that contributed to one of my biggest regrets in my canoeing life and whenever i thought of how i got a DNS for that fateful k1 1000m finals i still have that tinge of sadness within me. could have been my first medal. but eh, that was 5 years ago. HAHA. i'm like super old. and when i looked at the races i realised that the scene really has totally changed.

saw kaiwen and got some updates from her! :D she's coaching ac now since she couldn't get along with the hc side either. got to know that the girls are now being coached by mr yong's friend and other non-hc canoeing people and eh, that's really saddening. i liked the fact that all of us were coached by our direct seniors in the past, and because of that i felt that hx and the seniors were all able to understand us and the hc spirit very well, unlike now. ): moreover i tried to spot my juniors too, and it was only at the end of the day i realised that those girls wearing a singlet with a "dragon" behind were actually them o.O omg, i almost forgot they were dragonboating too o.O

aiyah, the whole hwachong canoeing girls thing has changed so much. that connection is now gone, and neither do i feel any love for the current team. ): it's just v sad la.

and another thing, kw says its the norm for double trgs nowadays and because of that the standard has improved tremendously OMG. depressing much. now even if i go back to paddle i'll prob get thrashed real bad. oops.

after that half an hour of talking to kw, went back to find the rest and just nice it was time for forest adventure! but before that was some mini land games which was quite funny to watch hahaha. the lao ren group won and YAY we went first :)

forest adventure was crazy fun :D :D i loved the fact that everything was up to you - your own safety, your route, and there was no need for a belayer and all you need is two little devices to bring you through. the best part was in between sites you're guaranteed a nice zipline hahahaha. the hardest was site two though, walking on the logs was insanely difficult and mentally and physically draining :X i almost wanted to give up! but all the pain was worth it, because in the end we only remembered how great that whole thing is. :D

and yayyy i love my lao ren group! though it could've been much better (with loi & wx & mike & sy & ojj & gf!)

14 March 2011.

my first meeting with my future edb colleagues! met jovin at the mrt before that in order to face them together first because seriously, i was quite nervous. after all they will be the group of people that i'd be hanging out with for at least the next few years and so it'll be of utmost importance that they're a group of people that i'd be able to get along well. so after adequate mental preparation, i called my buddy and she picked us up from the lift lobby and brought us up to meet the rest.

and before i knew it we were all sitting at the meeting room table getting to know each other through some self introduction o.O haha. the meeting then carried on (and they talked about real serious stuff) and now having seen the work that i'll be doing from sept onwards, i'm starting to get a little scared. like omg will i be able to meet their expectations? will i be able to write the many many reports i'm supposed to do? will i be able to handle lunch meetings with the big bosses well? like seriously, very scary. and i can already imagine how steep my learning curve's going to be :X

after that we had lunch at the hong kong restaurant in raffles city itself :) dimsum! :D got to know my buddy a lot more throughout the lunch and a bit of the other colleagues. one good thing is that they're all very young! 3 86 babies and another 2 who are just slightly older. :) actually, when i first heard how old they were i was seriously shocked... 86 is like the same as my male coursemates can! haha like totally don't look like they're all of the same age. omg.

and oh yes. all very high-flier. like oxford, imperial and embry-riddle. like gosh, i'm from ntu leh!

but yeaps, they look like a fun group of people! and my buddy's very much like me, athletic, avid traveller, and a little high. haha. i foresee that i'd be able to get along with her very well! but you know, i still can't get over the size of the whole aero group. 5 people. like FIVE. can you imagine, this is the number of people who has been planning the whole seletar aerospace park and getting all those big names into singapore! it might not have been the 5 of them but some 5 other seniors or so, but still... FIVE leh. imagine how much difference those 5 in the aero group has made. i'm very impressed :)

15 March 2011.

more fyp and polo trgs. roars.

16 March 2011.

collected my jlpt cert and donated some money for the japan disaster fund :) i feel good for being able to help out just that little bit! i wished i had more to give though, like manual labour and stuff. :X

i'm officially proficient in jap!

then met my colleagues again and this time we headed to the seletar aero park for a site visit and omg it was quite an eye opener! i didnt know we had to do such site visits and that there was so many things we need to know in order to explain properly to our investors what singapore can offer o.O buddy educated me like super a lot on generally the industry, the direction that singapore's moving to, and how things are implemented and such. it was just.... omg.

there's just so much to learn. i'm excited, but still a little scared. :X

cabbed to tp after that for a canoepolo friendly! super tiring but thank God i didnt regret making my way down :) and i managed to figure out some stuff too and so hopefully i'd be a better player on saturday.

17 March 2011.

after an afternoon of fyp, waited for yuenling and she sent me to ikea! :D :D yayyyys. wanted her to drop me off at any 198 bus stop but in the end she decided to send me all the way there to pick lance along the way! :) bought 2 packets of meatballs, 6 500ml cans of cider and another big pack of double choc crisps and was insanely happy hahaha.

went over the ps after that for post-p&l celebration! :D ate at swensens with the rest of the comm while chatting over some random stuff -_- sometime later we decided to head to cathay for some b&j's ice cream! :D awesome ttm :)) especially when fw & kiat are the ones paying hahaha.

anyway, i love my p&l comm :) it's good that i got to know some of the freshies better (like wanting! haha and jason, km, weiming) who are crazy fun people. and it was even more surprising when i knew that was so many people who are older than me *coughhuieekmjasoncough*. HAHA 87 babies :D i just hope we'll keep still keep in contact in the future! haha wanting is one funny girl and jason is total un-holy (in wx's terms HAHA). actually i still don't geddit, how is it that jason and i dont look like the kind who goes church weekly while josie does?! hmmmmmm.

18 March 2011.

after the p&l celebration, headed off for hall 14 straight in preparation for some awesome time hahaha. didn't want to go back hall despite the insane headache because i simply couldn't imagine lugging those bags of meatballs and cans of ciders and walking to 14 from hall :X haha so in the end borrow den's mattress and slept for a good 2 hours and YAY the headache was all gone :)

the night continued with the 5 of us plus one of their hall friends chomping 2kg worth of meatballs (that's about 120 balls by the way), drinking a can of cider each and then more hoegaarden & heineken :) :) haha i'm a total alcoholic and i admit it :P but at least i like to drink beer so i won't get drunk easily! heh.

and OH YES, the highlight of the night hahahahaha. the buggers didn't have any bottle opener in hall and while experimenting various ways to open the beer bottles, herny actually caused one of them to burst and all the foam overflowed in an instant. AND then the very smart him tried to quickly drink them up and ended up with beer all over himself!!! HAHA. the guys went hysterical linking that scene to something very wrong (in which I shall not describe cos it's simply not feminine to do so HAHA) while i was simply laughing at how retarded he actually looked. shucks should have video-ed it and post it on fail blog. HAHA.

and so after finishing the meatballs and having enough alcohol, we decided to hang around den's room (air con plus mattress! shiok) for more games since it was only 3. and since the PS3 only had one controller (means no street fighter ):) and joseph returned his monopoly deal set we ended up playing charadiem -_____- hahahaha what the heck. we played like 3 rounds and by then it was 4 plus and we decided that it was enough heh!

after that den rode me back to hall (after doing a huge detour around ntu hoho)! omg omg omg omg omg omg :D my very first bike ride la hahaha. at first i was a little scared since you know, there's all those scary bike accidents and you're like so exposed without any seatbelts and what-not... but in the end it turned out quite okay! :D i eventually got used to all those turns and stuff and den proved to be a very reliable driver :)) but so funnnnnnnn. hahaha but i still think i'd be very scared if we were to go on a expressway or something. heh.

so by the time i reached hall it was almost 6, and by the time i went to bed it was already 7 o.O haha. but okay la, it was all worth it :D slept for 7 hours andden went to mal for some fyp only to realise that the wind tunnel has been destroyed by some ureka student!!!!! i officially hate all ureka students now. how the heck did that guy make it to the ureka team!?! roars. now i can only pray that it gets fixed FAST. i finally completed my set up can!!!

lunchtime music @ hall 9 canteen!

went back home after that and my mum send me and the various bukitbatok aero students back home heh (ql zq & hh) :D so heng all of us were doing fyp that day! :P

20 March 2011.

first day of SPCPOC'11. first match with espada which didn't really go very well :X oh well, can only work harder tomorrow.

met the 4g girls for dinner at no. 5 emerald hill after that! for the very reason that we could actually throw peanut shells on the ground we decided to visit it -__- haha. drinks were quite cheap at 8 a pint for house pours before 9pm considering its prime location at orchard road, and the chicken wings were superb. caught up a little with the girls but we were all quite obviously tired/stressed in one way or another so weren't particularly high or what haha. didn't drink much in the first place!

at about 10 we decided to cab to butter fac since les had some guest list thingy which entitles her to free entry together with 4 other friends and so we decided to drop by to make full use of it haha. and all we did was to people watch while sitting at the sofa after that -__- hehhhh. but really bohbian eh, most of us had important stuff the next day so it wasn't a good idea to club. and i'm so glad we had the discipline to not drink! :) haha.

oh yes, butter fac's music is actually quite nice for a time like 10pm. haha comparatively, zouk doesn't play nice songs until 1am. o.O at least that's based on my experience after visiting both places ONCE. i'm super guai :D hehhh.

-+-

OKAY, i've finally finished typing this whole chunk of updates. if you ever reach here, i thank you for your kind attention but if you don't, it's okay, i understand. this post is my longest in dunno-how-long.

goodnight.

with a little bit of magic!

I PASSED MY JLPT N4!!!!!!

omg omg omg the one week of intensive mugging for jap worked well HAHA (of course, with some unmerited favour from God!). and not only did i pass, but i also did quite well in my opinion! B B A and 2 other scores i can't rmb (i called my dad and he read the results to me!)

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTS!

can't contain my eggcitement. i'm so glad i took N4 over N5 when i was complaining to grace and siewhui how i regretted trying to cramp half the syllabus in one week. HAHA. now i should totally go japan for grad trip!! YING2 DON'T PANGSEH ME. :P

-+-

anyway, did 3.5 hours of canteen duty today! and i've got a newfound respect for all canteen vendors now. it's seriously hard work! especially when i thought that there wasnt that many people who eat breakfast at cant 9, but i was TOTALLY wrong. at the peak period it almost killed me. i was trying to do everything quickly so i'd be of some good help to uncle lim & the kopi uncle. like omg omg omg. and i think cos they were shorthanded today (the auntie stayed at home to take care of her husband) so we were exceptionally busy. i can't imagine if i didnt offer to extend that 1.5 hours, i think the two of them might have just died out of exhaustion and some of the niners might be frustrated with the long waiting time :X

in any case, if you doubt my ability (in being a virtuous wife), i:

  1. made awesome sandwiches with cabbage, tomato, cheese, egg & mayo! (the ones that i usually buy myself)
  2. cut them into half using this saw-like knife
  3. wrapped those sandwiches using the cling wrap (uncle lim say i'm VERY skillful and said that my sandwiches are very well wrapped HAHA. the result of helping my mama wrap the 肉碎s when i was younger)
  4. collected the used dishes
  5. wiped the tables
  6. washed the dishes (inclusive of cups, spoons, bread plates, egg plates, and occasionally trays)
  7. toasted some bread, placed them on a dish and passed to the customers (during the peak period i stopped collecting the dishes and instead helped out at the counter HAHA)

i feel super accomplished. HAHA. but 3.5 hours of standing is really no joke. i had butt cramps when i was washing my very last set of dishes and my knee joint was hurting omg. and when i was finally done, i rewarded myself to some french toast (uncle lim told me to take whatever i want!! FREE BREAKFAST!!!) and finished up my awesome tehping. it seriously tastes much better when i've earned it myself.

and you know what, now everytime i spent 20 bucks i'd think twice. i think that's abt the amount i earned today o.O

once more next week and this will be my last job before i start my proper career in edb :D

self-defense mechanism

taken by nic in olkhon islands, starring chuanyuan (L) and berns (R), lake baikal, russia. miss this place loads, miss how the 5 of us spent such awesome time together :D

how i psych myself up to start running habitually.

when you feel like eating, go for a run.
when you have an urge to skydive, go for a run.
when you're sick and tired of mugging, go for a run.
when you hate the world and wanna get out of it, go for a run.
when you're angry and disappointed, go for a run.
and when you're happy, go for a run :)

running makes you happy. :D

and so, i shall begin running every other day (: which means 3 times a week! and yeaps, i had many reasons to start running since saturday. hoho. but now that i've more or settled all the troubles i had earlier, i guess i should start my happy-running.

and thanks nd for listening that day. i guess all i needed for a reaffirmation of my decisions and you provided me with it. so yeah, thanks bro :) 78 people rocks my socks (exclaimed in a very kim manner haha)! oh yes saw chuanyuan in cant 9 today and it was a good surprise! hahah super sick of the aero & hall peeps alr so i'm glad to find someone from a separate social circle LOL.

and so self-defense mechanism has been successfully activated. get out of my life you baddies! haha.

and yes, i had a good break today :D lunched with the aero hall 14 people (haven't talked to them much since 4011), ate duck rice and drank not-very-nice bubble tea (and accidentally pangsehed wx & loi OOOPS), came back and played some 2 hours of piano, slept for another 3 hours, slacked online, dinner-ed, slacked somemore, and went for a run. now i'm back and cooling down from the 25min 3.5km run :D wooots.

and i've learnt to treasure days like these much better now. doubt i'd have any days of such once i start working ): but thank God i have a good 3months plus of break before i begin my working life! means i have another 10 months to spare. gotta make full use of these leftover time! and after exams it'll be time to start my FYP engine running and plan for my awesomest grad trip(s) :D

okay, goodbye. :) i promise to work hard starting from tomorrow to next wed! :D

oh yes, skydiving dreams are the best ever! hahaha i dreamt one on saturday and i woke up feeling AWESOME :D then today huiee was like "HUIWEN I DREAMT THAT I SKYDIVED TOO!" hahaha finally someone else understands how it feels. even though not as great as the real thing, but you know, the adrenaline and the view is VERY REAL. woooots. and out of curiosity, i decided to check online what such dreams mean:

1. To dream that you are skydiving, represents your high ideals. Sometimes you may need to compromise these ideals and be more realistic of your expectations.

2. A pleasurable dream of skydiving - floating down gently in a parachute - signifies that you have protection and security during a time in which turmoil surrounds you.

woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooots.

zzzzz

week after week after week. amazing how fast time flies, and amazing how much i've been blogging.

i noticed a trend: whenever it gets nearer to quizzes/assignment deadlines/exams i tend to blog a lot. effects of procrastination. and i haven't started on my monday's quiz (which requires me to do a cheat sheet. oh gosh.)

and you know, my favouritest months of the year are here. october & november for sounding very nice and for having so many of my favourite people's birthdays, and december for christmas. i know i don't make sense, but i don't have to, right? (:

and this year, i really really wanna write letters to the people i ♥ dearly. after my quizzes, i shall not put it away any longer. time to do some solid work.

dying

just wanna post a quick one.

i'm tired. ): and i almost choked on a fish bone while eating dinner (at 12.30am).

time to sleep. please pray for me that i'll be able to go home on time tomorrow :X (i don't wanna leave the office at 7.50pm for 2 consecutive days)

and random. i miss chieh and les and pammie a lot ): roars. i should stop being lazy and quickly install my video cam and mic so i can skype sooooooon.

but anyways, it was good photoshopping (hey it's a form of shopping too! -__-) with roomie J last night till 1, and nice hanging out with loi and wenxin over at wenxin's room, and shiok just chatting with aileen randomly. :D

but while walking home i thought about what ying2 posted on her blog last time. and i just think that it'll be so horrible if we all only talked about work after graduation :X i hope we'll have something more eggciting to talk about you know ): like work is such a boring topic if gone on for too long. roars!

+ guaishou's! :D
