Reached Auckland at 10am local time, which is about 6am SG time. Didn’t manage to sleep more than 2 hours thanks to the many children present in the plane who kept taking turns to cry T_T ended up watching TBBT which jetstar played (: woooots. It was the first date of shamy and the robotic arm of howard’s episode! Loves the shamy combination!

Ate brunch after that in the macs at Auckland airport and rested a while, then went to check out the SIM card stuff and visit the i-site (nz tourism board visitor’s corner). Then went over to the domestic airport, slept a bit, checked-in our luggage, and then slept for another good half an hour on the floor at some obscure corner of the airport. Very shiok! Boarded the 2.15pm flight to wellington after that and at 3.20pm, we finally landed! And thereafter our adventure in NZ finally officially begins.
And during macs we were saying how great it is to be finally here (: especially after all that hooha about the Chile volcano and the frantic contingency planning. And then I decided to come up with a slogan for us: whatever that can go right will go right! Aka the anti murphy’s law :D and up till now it’s been proven right!

Took a cab to our hostel since we had too much stuff to carry and the cab driver told us there was going to be a big rugby match tonight… and so YAYYY we decided to go catch it! So after dumping our stuff, we went to the Westpac stadium (the biggest stadium in wellington!) and got ourselves 3 tickets for the match ((: then walked back to the hostel area in an attempt to look for foooooood. Super hungry can!

Found a seafood place that was more like a roadside takeaway kinda store and decided on the fish and chips. AND IT WAS SUPER GOOD. At first we thought that perhaps we might just be really hungry, but then the three of us unanimously decided that it’s really SUPER NICE. I think they added just enough lemon and salt, making the fish platter especially tasty :D super shiok!
Walked back to the stadium after the very satisfying meal and were at first worried about the bottled water that we bought earlier. One of the nice security people that we asked earlier for food places recognized us and so we consulted him, budden he said we couldn’t bring them in… but we decided to try anyway. Amazingly chun hern was questioned about it but he didn’t deny and they didn’t check! O.o 1 point to anti-murphy’s. :D
So we went in, and after the pre-match hooha (cheerleaders with tummies and pretty pretty rain!) the match began! And 5 mins into the game all of us started taking turns to fall asleep -___- it’s been a super tiring day and we haven’t had enough sleep.

But somehow we managed to watch finish the whole match! Thanks to the occasional kallang waves started by some group of people in the next column hahaha. Oh yes, it’s super amazing cos considering the population of wellington there’s really a lot of people in the stadium! I suppose at least 10k? like omg. Rugby’s really their favourite sport la! Omg.
And so after the match, we walked back to our hostel and washed up, and after one hour we were on the bed fast asleep! :D
