just watched this awesome thai movie recommended by jieli who has yet to watch it. -_- always wanted to try catching one of those weirdo thai romance comedies and so when i received the link i decided that i had to watch it! :D
and it really didn't disappoint. not only was the lead actor mario maurer really handsome (HAHA see the video still) but the whole concept of the movie was something everyone could relate too very well. while watching the trailer (after watching the movie TWICE in the day), i was instantly reminded of those sec 4 and jc days when i too, was like that. walking past a classroom purposely just to take a quick peek, feeling overly excited when hearing his voice over the phone, and jumping for joy when he passes you a small gift.
the whole plot was simple yet inspiring at the same time, and while it's supposed to be rather dramatic and exaggerated being a movie, i felt that in the end it demonstrated very well how time and place can be a crucial factor and how easy it is to be heartbroken. (: super duper awesomeeeee. really have to watch this yourself to know how good it is! :D and heh this just made me want to watch even more thai films now!
and so "hello stranger" shall be next. i shall ignore yuenling's comment on how you have to watch it with a boyfriend (HAHA). and yeaps, maybe after this i'll catch up with my favourite jap and korean romantic movies, and hope that more awesome films like "tada, kimi o aishiteru" and "windstruck" will be found out. hohoho.
hohoho. watched nodame finale yesterday with my sis at plaza sing! :D and after 11 episodes, 2 specials, and 2 movies, it's finalllyyyy over. ): no more dearest chiaki senpai and nodame megumi ): roarsssssss.
and it's been 3 years since i first watched that drama and fell totally in love with everything about it ): maybe because it was a drama which i could relate to really well, be it the piano, the conducting, or the orchestra. helps much when you start learning the piano at 5 and joined a symphonic band at 12. boooooohoo. serious withdrawal symptoms huh.
anyway, i'm really glad that nodame's the kind of show that never got worse. you know, there's those dramas whose sequels are super duper boring (think meteor garden) which simply doesnt live up to the standard of the very first season. but nodame simply got better, even after so long. wooooots. and not to forget, ueno juri's awesome as nodame! though i wouldnt say the same for tamaki hiroshi, he's not bad too :) (haha random i suddenly recall me calling ahmean tamaMIN! hohohoho)
haha enough of nodame. time for some SHINeeeeee (: i've gotta admit that their comeback's damn powerful! great song, great moves, with great power. though i've never liked these boys much but i've to admit, they're great. :D totally love their performances!

you know, somehow jdramas have this magic in them. it's like, every drama has a line or two, or a concept, that tugs your heart lightly. andden whenever you finish watching one, there's always this sense of loss.
i felt really sad when i finished long vacation. perhaps i already predicted that will happen, which is why i took my time to watch it until i simply couldnt resist watching one ep after another on tuesday. :X andden without realising, the two leads were together, happily ever after. end of story.
andden i just felt sad.
it's really no wonder that long vacation's considered a jdrama classic. first aired 14 years ago, i can't believe it took me this long to watch it. (i watched itazura na kiss a few years back you see.) the storyline's unbelievably simple, but yet it connects with the audience really well and keeps them wanting to watch more. and not to forget, even the very young kimura takuya (24 then) exuded this manly charm. like omg. 14 years later he's really still the man.
i particularly liked one sentence that sena (kimutaku) said. "when everything goes wrong, just treat it that God is giving you a long vacation."
andden i melted when sena confessed to minami that his "long vacation" ended (meaning that he's got something that's right now - who is minami) in the 2nd last episode. like OMG OMG OMG OMG. that's like the SWEETEST thing!!!
and i think God's given me a super long vacation already :P 21 years. maybe it's time to end it huh ;) i want a sena to tell me that too! :P :P
oh yes, "close to you" is unbelievably nice. i always thought it was great, but after watching the drama, i immediately downloaded the score and played it. too beautiful.
hahaha i really love kimutaku. his dramas are simply too awesome. long vacation. good luck!!. hero. engine. pride. change. mr brain. is there even one drama that kimutaku starred in that was bad??! NONE. in fact all were so darn good. (:

oh yes, i love her rap in I'm Back!!! hahaha it's the FAMILY OUTING RAP!!! :P super funny can! i bet the family must be laughing like mad while watching her perform :P you can even see hyori trying very hard to hold her laughter -____-
and yes, 2PM!! like O.M.G. o.O i can't decide which is better, without U or can't stop don't stop! :X :X WU's unique and there's this thing about it which just makes it good and i don't really know why, while CSDS's TWO PEE AMM during the chorus is simply too addictive! rocks laaaaaaaa.
i wouldn't say awesome-r because it was significantly shorter than last year's (2.5h compared to 4h), but all other things actually made up for that 1.5h less of mayday.
like the OMG stage with the OMG lightings and the OMG props (the transformers! LOL). and of course the OMG fireworks and the OMG audience (i think there's a good 12,000 people there)!!!
but errr. booo for showing videos that they showed during last year's concert, boo for not singing songs like 牙关，憨人，听不到，纯真，出头天，香水，爱情万岁，叫我第一名，志明与春娇，轧车, 恒星的恒心, 我又初恋了... among which are really long time classics. but anyway, i'm quite sick of listening to them sing those every concert so it's not necessarily a bad thing! oh yes, it's the first time i heard 相信 in FULL, which ROCKS because for the past few concerts they always sang that song partially with 拥抱, which they didn't sing today either.

but yeah, the best part was still 温柔, which was the finale. omg i love 2AM so much!!! hahaha at first i didn't think much about their new show, 2AM Day, which featured their everyday lives and contained footage that they took themselves with a handy videocam.

woah this week i havent been blogging at all. except for the hitler parodies, taecyeon and the wallet thing HAHA.
but this week's nothing less than awesome (: and i really thank God for everything :) 2 days of angbao collecting and another day of love&steamboat :D then finally some sisterly love. hoho :)
saturday ate reunion dinner over at the hilltop restaurant at bbcsc with my & my bro-in-law's families. :D we had one table and we ate good food :D too bad it's a little overpriced :X oops.
sunday and monday went around bai nian-ing! :D my dad's side were great with all the yummilicious food like fried noodles, pig trotters soup, curry chicken, pohpia, steamboat and all the other super good food :D every year we just look forward to all these good homecooked food hahaha. oh and there was the 4 little cute kids joshua raphael gabriel and lucas! :D they were super cute and entertaining can! :D PLUS they're very playful and sociable but very guai!!! even the 3 year old gabriel knows how to keep everything after he plays with it :) love them loadssss. oh my mum's side was good too, sometimes i really enjoy talking to my older cousins. :) we just talk about life and such hoho.
tuesday was our 4g tuanyuannn (: les was greatly missed ): ): but anyway! the rest of the 8 of them came over to my place for steamboat :D went to get all the food from shop and save first, then the girls prepared the food while the guys slacked, then set up the steamboat stuff and finally we all ate HAPPILY :D :D somehow our soup tasted great hahaha. and we had quite some yummy food too :) oh yes geok super funny! she always offer to do things that she knows people wont accept her offer. HAHA. like washing the dishes. when in actual fact she doesnt even want to do it :P :P super cute can. and susan likes to create funny flowers with sausages. and ki's quite a xqlm haha. and jt did most of the dishes! :P /faints.
and stupid ki susan and geok tried to trick my mother in saying that one of the guys there was my bf -____- like WTH! they even discussed about which guy my mother will guess. but super funny we were saying how peck cannot be cos he looks like an indian and how kenneth wouldn't pass cos of his maggi mee hair LOL. then bryan and alex both god gfs, so left with jt loh. /faintsssssss. but it was still quite amusing la :D
after the steamboat we slacked ard in my room, played monopoly deal while antisocial bryan and jt surfed FEMALE blogshops (because jt doesn't know bonitochico and bryan became the pro after learning from his gf ahhaha) andden watched vids. ALWAYS watch vids one. last time at alex house also! then finally we decided cannot let them antisocial so we played blackjack (: wooooots.
jt super cheeky face!!! /faints. and everyone else was laughing funnily because spastic jt tried to spoil the pic by rolling the chair over thru everyone -____- oh that's my bed btw hahaha

played until like 1015 then decided to chiong to the nearest udders (at lor kilat!) for some yummy ice cream :D stupid susan ordered 2 alcoholic ice cream can! haha trying to make us drunk. -__- and she didnt order any choc ice cream. so disappointing. next time cannot let her order alr!
then after udder-ing we ended the day by going to the nearest coffeeshop and lao-ing the yusheng jt brought :D heh every chinese new year must lao together one! i can't remember when we started doing this but i'm glad we always do. :D next year must lao again! then we will keep tuan yuan-ing :D
friday had a very interesting conversation over lunch at kfc about religion with ali. he's a muslim and i'm a christian, but yet our opinions regarding religion are so similar. i haven't had a muslim friend in ages so it's great talking to one. :) and even though we are far from being devout in our religions but at least i can say we're both strong in our faith. i thank God for this enriching conversation. :)
went to my sis's place to stayover after work! :D ate dinner with my sis then played house of the dead overkill with her :D we completed the whole game in like 2 hours! super long can haha. my arms were dying lol! while we were playing, vincent (the vacuum cleaner robot) was running around sucking dust! hahaha vincent's actually quite stupid it keeps sucking the same areas and getting stuck under a chair -__- super amusing. but quite zai eh must get one for my mum (: after playing i used the comp and talked a bit with my sis and bro-in-law then went to bed.
saturday i went to swim at the condo's pool with the two of them! :D too long nv swim already so bit nuah :X and i think i lost a lot of my strength gosh. can i be strong but have very little muscles? roarsssssss. after swimming we went to the spa pool andden sauna :D so shiok to stay in condo can! finally headed back home on a cab with them and spent the rest of the day with my relatives :D wooots.
sunday is rest day! :D HAPPPPYYYYY.
