i've just watched the most awesome movie i've ever watched in a long time :) and with my very awesome people, ying chieh pam! :D

it's so awesome that i genuinely felt SUPER sad when the movie ended! like i've lost a long time friend. it's amazing how i got so emotionally involved within that 1h 40 mins that the movie played... omg! :O :O

sigh. i wished the movie had another ending though, but then again, it wouldn't be as impactful if it were the usual, expected kind of ending. but still.... ARGH.

in time with you.

it's been a long time since i got this obsessed with a taiwanese drama :D and i really think this drama is totally deserving of it! super amazing really. i really love the director's style, the cameraman's framing and the editor's cuts, it makes everything so cinematic, so artistic and yet so easy for the audience to follow without being draggy. and the plot is like omg, not the usual romcom that is so overused nowadays by the taiwanese, but rather something light hearted, with scenes that provoke thoughts and endings for every episode that isn't a cliff hanger, yet so engaging, allowing the audience to yearn for more. very japanese. (of course, nowadays jdramas aren't that awesome anymore, sadly.)

i really think its amazing how qu you ning and ariel lin have grown with me over these years - from the drama with a school setting that highlighted every teenager's dreams in "it started with a kiss" (which stars joe cheng) to the woes of the working adult  and the ageing women in "in time with you". it's been 6 years in between the dramas, and just like how the director and ariel have matured, i probably have too. which is why i find the dramas so amazing and awesome :D

and have i mentioned how awesome the OST is? i've been waiting for it to be out, and now that it FINALLY is, i'm so going to transfer them into my phone (which i use as an mp3 player sometimes). 踮起腳尖愛 is my ultimate favourite of all, the melody, lyrics, arrangement, vocals... they might not be perfect individually but together they make an amazing song. :) if i'm ever going to start composing i would love to write a song like this! :D heehee! (p.s. i just realised it's written by tanya chua and xiaohan! NO WONDER.)

and yes, last but not least, Chen Bo-Lin is awesome :D it's a little weird seeing him in a drama especially when he's done so many movies in the past including 五月之恋, where mayday cameo-ed in and participated in the ost. officially almost a fangirl of him! his acting is so natural that it's so easy to be sucked in, especially when ariel, another experienced actor, is alongside. hard not to fall for him seriously (i'm sure ying2 will agree!) 

argh, one episode a week is seriously not enough. i haven't had such complaints in a long time. :D and yes, looking forward to the eps shot in singapore! :D going to be so weirdly awesome :))

grad with a BANG!

and it's finally done, after 3 full days of editing on avid's free program - pinnacle! :D super fun picking it up, watching all those 160 raw files each about 30s long in average, and editing them to form this final product. :D i'm proud of my very first masterpiece and i certainly do hope that i'll be able to make more videos in the future! :))

President Tan and the church :)

and so TT became our new president.

a bit upset since the margin's so small, but i guess we're a democratic nation after all and so even if TT wins by a vote its still a win. and turned out that my family's quite awesome at representing the nation, just the 5 of us was enough to estimate the amount of support each candidate received - 2 to TT, 2 to CB and 1 to JS. hahaha. and my dad was super funny! he suggested that TT should serve 4 years while CB serves 2 years so that everyone will be satisfied. lol.

anyway! i just went to google the religions of each candidate and i found out that TT's anglican (same as me!) while CB's catholic! (and btw, george yeo's catholic too!) and with this, as stupid a reason as it seems, i'm actually much happier with the results haha. whoever of the three becomes president in the end, it seems like it's totally God's work. :) i just can't help to be reminded of how favoured christians really are in this nation and how blessed we are by our daddy God! 

and like what pastor prince said, the result's definitely God ordained and whoever God chose for us must be the best for us. and now as citizens and brothers in our nation, what's most important is that we give him our support and continue praying for the strength of our nation and good health and wisdom for our new president! it was awesome when everyone stood up and prayed earnestly while pastor prince led us in prayer :) you could simply feel everyone's love for the nation and our church!

and you know, i think it's really these little things that make me love pastor prince and new creation. after church hopping a little before settling down here, i've realised how important it is for me to truly connect all the important aspects of my life - God (always the first), the church, our nation, its people, their lives, and finally, me. pastor and the church never fails to bring me closer to any of these in this list with his messages and the service itself, and week after week, i learn more and more and with that, i love, give and receive more abundantly too. 

i really think i'm part of an amazing church. 

and i think i'm ready to give and serve! can't wait to start tithing and find a ministry to serve in!

on a side note, in this few days i just realised how much i don't know about myself. i used to think i knew what i want or what i'm looking for, but now i'm not so sure. time after time i find myself contradicting myself, and as time goes by i just get too tired to think properly and in the end, i just choose the easiest way out - escaping.

which by now, i've realised, simply serves to drag the problem longer. but then again it might be a necessary evil, because it provides me the time and space which i desperately need. i just don't understand myself any longer, and i need that environment to start figuring out what i truly want.

and to that person, i'm truly sorry over whatever you've been going through for that past dunno-how-many months. and for being a dumbass and not noticing a single thing all these while. kennethkoh was very right, i'm really very stupid (which i have to state once again, i'm really sorry my friend). wished i were smarter at such things then perhaps many things would have been different.

and by the way, note to self, feelings are overrated. i stand by this belief of mine. so what if your heart skips a beat? so what if that person keeps appearing in your mind over and over again? how can you be sure it's not temporal? and how can feelings feed you or even make you happy? i'm starting to hate such feelings, especially if in the end all it does is to break your heart. being together with someone is supposed to be a happy thing after all, and sometimes feelings itself can just never make one happy enough.

alright, i must say that i'm not emo or whatsoever, just a little sad and that's because i've been having too much time in my hands, which naturally leads to, well, thinking not so good things after all the happy thoughts have been thought about. i still try to be that happy self i want to be most of the time!

you can't believe how much i cried watching this video ): touched by their immense faith, their unconditional love for others, and the grace and glory that came showering upon them at this time of need. and that prophetic poster at the end, OMG. really literally.

i believe God has a plan for Japan, like the message pastor prince shared to us using Psalms 65, which happens to be the passage in which our this year's theme on Crowned Goodness came from. what is sure is that God has never forsaken them, and while it is easier to believe that this natural disaster may have came as "punishment", i choose to think otherwise. i too, believe that one day Japan would be a land which sings of God's grace and love.

and now, i pray for God's grace to be showered on Japan, i pray for the awakening, i pray for their protection and recovery. i pray for the love of God to be shared, i pray for more people to be healed and saved and themselves being living testimonials to our loving Father.

most of all, i pray for these people featured in this video to be blessed for being such a blessing to others :)

OMG i have many many weirdy pies as friends!!

hahaha i'm on a high after laughing so hard while watching toh laugh till he cried and after runnning the 199 route with loi! hahahaha seriously. when dearest exroomie j came to my room to describe toh's reactions while looking at the link i posted on facebook, i couldn't believe it and had to see for myself! and so the two of us decided to pay him a visit before showering.

andden, toh was like "i where got cry?!" and soon he went back to the site, scrolled through again, and burst out laughing and CRIED. OMG. (i would almost go to the point of using the 4 letter equivalent just to describe how shocked i was!!!)

goodbye nodame!

nias day 3 here (:

hohoho. watched nodame finale yesterday with my sis at plaza sing! :D and after 11 episodes, 2 specials, and 2 movies, it's finalllyyyy over. ): no more dearest chiaki senpai and nodame megumi ): roarsssssss.

and it's been 3 years since i first watched that drama and fell totally in love with everything about it ): maybe because it was a drama which i could relate to really well, be it the piano, the conducting, or the orchestra. helps much when you start learning the piano at 5 and joined a symphonic band at 12. boooooohoo. serious withdrawal symptoms huh.

anyway, i'm really glad that nodame's the kind of show that never got worse. you know, there's those dramas whose sequels are super duper boring (think meteor garden) which simply doesnt live up to the standard of the very first season. but nodame simply got better, even after so long. wooooots. and not to forget, ueno juri's awesome as nodame! though i wouldnt say the same for tamaki hiroshi, he's not bad too :) (haha random i suddenly recall me calling ahmean tamaMIN! hohohoho)

haha enough of nodame. time for some SHINeeeeee (: i've gotta admit that their comeback's damn powerful! great song, great moves, with great power. though i've never liked these boys much but i've to admit, they're great. :D totally love their performances!
