because life's beautiful.: #09. digging and baking!

Today’s an eggciting day! :D woke up early in the morning then went to the chicken coop to dig a drain and to finish the hammering of the wooden rods onto the frame. But in the end there was only a two hammers and a few short rods which we had to connect two together to make it long enough. So there wasn’t much hammering to do and i decided to try out the digging instead.

Used the cangkel to dig the soil out of the required location then used the shovel to clear the removed soil away. It was a tiring process but nevertheless the sense of achievement was immense. After all the cankeling and shovelling i felt like a pro! Just that there were additional blisters that formed ): seriously, ouch. Haha but it was super fun! Did with nigel sihui and Hansel, then later barry and jean joined too :D in the end we managed to dig quite some soil! :D

After that we washed up for a while then went for lunch. Lunch we had ayam! Haha my shooting star wish came true (: the chilli that they specially prepared for the ayam dish was super yummy as well! Haha but it was a little too spicy until i was sweating like a pig. Hahaha.

After lunch i slept for a while then proceeded to the kitchen to bake with the rest of the girls! Helped with the beating of the batter cos the electrical beater was down due to the electricity supply being cut off. Thank goodness i’ve been watching my mom bake and so i could roughly gauge how the batter should be (: and after putting loads of sweat and effort into it (i was training my forearms!), we kneaded the dough andden baked them. And guess what, our cookies were super yummy! Much better than the first batch we baked (cos i wasn’t around at that time HAHA) i think we’re damn pro. It’s really a team effort! :D

So we continued baking through the afternoon and i think i beated 4 batches of butter mixed with sugar while taking turns with jean. Super tiring but super fun (: our last batch was the most memorable one with less sugar but mixed with the melted hersheys chocolate! :D it looked super yummy when we were mixing it already :)))) but i didn’t manage to see through the rest of the process after beating it becaue jean and i needed to take more photos and videos of the guys’ game against the other children from the orphanage.

While watching the super entertaining match, the male kids joined us and started cheering for the guys with us! Super duper cute hahaha. They were like copying exactly what we were saying! It was like cute overloaddddddd. I never knew i could love kids this much seriously. During the game i htht-ed with Charles too, asking him the ranking of the guys in the game in his heart LOL. I was super amused! He was only sure of his most favourite and the rest he was just anyhow ranking -__- but nevermind i was super amused. Hahah he’s sucha cute boy!

Yeaps and the guys finally won the match LOL. 1-0. And it was their own goal! :P okay, actually not exactly so because Daniel actually aimed at the goal but the defender just deflected the ball into the goal. Heh. But nevermind it was good anyway! The guys defended well (: too bad they didn’t score cos i promised to give the scorer a kiss HAHA.

After the match we bathed then had dinner. Dinner was not bad with fish and vegetables. After dinner did the usual playing around with the kids, but this time we were too tired to run and so all we did is to just sit around. Went back to the room after that andden it was time to go back for supper! And guess what was for supper? DURIANS OMG.

The durians that the first team picked from their village! Yummy to the maX (: and it was like super cheap at about 35c per durian. :P yumsssss. Oh and the stars were super pretty too because the electricity was down and there was barely any light pollution. We just sat along the path, listening to songs that reeked of goodbyes for Jeremy and lovey dovey messages for nigel and star gazing :P super shiok life :D

After that we went back into the canteen for devotion. Charles is such a sweet heart! He sang super well okay (: hahaha. And i was singing with him too and so he looked happy :D after the devotion the people from the orphanage said their goodbyes to Jeremy and we took photos together (: super love this team that i’m in. :D

So now i’m back in my room, with my battery on my laptop left with a mere 5%. Omg. Haha.
