it's been a long time since i got this obsessed with a taiwanese drama :D and i really think this drama is totally deserving of it! super amazing really. i really love the director's style, the cameraman's framing and the editor's cuts, it makes everything so cinematic, so artistic and yet so easy for the audience to follow without being draggy. and the plot is like omg, not the usual romcom that is so overused nowadays by the taiwanese, but rather something light hearted, with scenes that provoke thoughts and endings for every episode that isn't a cliff hanger, yet so engaging, allowing the audience to yearn for more. very japanese. (of course, nowadays jdramas aren't that awesome anymore, sadly.)

i really think its amazing how qu you ning and ariel lin have grown with me over these years - from the drama with a school setting that highlighted every teenager's dreams in "it started with a kiss" (which stars joe cheng) to the woes of the working adult  and the ageing women in "in time with you". it's been 6 years in between the dramas, and just like how the director and ariel have matured, i probably have too. which is why i find the dramas so amazing and awesome :D

and have i mentioned how awesome the OST is? i've been waiting for it to be out, and now that it FINALLY is, i'm so going to transfer them into my phone (which i use as an mp3 player sometimes). 踮起腳尖愛 is my ultimate favourite of all, the melody, lyrics, arrangement, vocals... they might not be perfect individually but together they make an amazing song. :) if i'm ever going to start composing i would love to write a song like this! :D heehee! (p.s. i just realised it's written by tanya chua and xiaohan! NO WONDER.)

and yes, last but not least, Chen Bo-Lin is awesome :D it's a little weird seeing him in a drama especially when he's done so many movies in the past including 五月之恋, where mayday cameo-ed in and participated in the ost. officially almost a fangirl of him! his acting is so natural that it's so easy to be sucked in, especially when ariel, another experienced actor, is alongside. hard not to fall for him seriously (i'm sure ying2 will agree!) 

argh, one episode a week is seriously not enough. i haven't had such complaints in a long time. :D and yes, looking forward to the eps shot in singapore! :D going to be so weirdly awesome :))

ON AIR

just finished watching On Air (a korean drama) today, after 2 months!!!! (i finished the last 7/16 eps today though :P) took me unbelievably long, because the front part wasn't very interesting plus i had so many pre-travel commitments. o.O then i went travelling. then when i'm back i went out to catch up with friends. then i got distracted by bara no nai hanaya and all the smap stuff that jessie fed me with :P

but anyway, just wanna say that On Air is an AWESOME DRAMA! :D it's truly deserving of the high ratings it raked. (check it out here!) at first i merely got attracted to it because it topped some list of top 10 kdramas in 2008 plus the main OST was done by F.T. Island. you know, in the drama, not only the 4 leads were strong in expressing each character's personality, but they showed great teamwork in linking up their characters through their various interactions! (and disappointingly, one of the leads, Park Yong Ha actually commited suicide on June 30th this year. sigh.)

and another point to love is that i really liked how they portray the whole process of shooting a drama - from planning, to writing the script, to casting, to filming, to editing, and eventually showing it on national TV. be it a little exaggerated, i believe most of the scenarios shown were very real, for example how an actress could be reluctant to shoot because of lack of screen time, how investors pull out because of decreased ratings, and how conflicts can arise among the crew. but ultimately, everyone in the team only has one goal, to create a drama that their viewers would like. eventually when you see their drama created you can't help but to feel the very same sense of satisfaction for them.

and not only that, they gave viewers an insight of the lives of these actors and actresses, as well as their managers. how rumours can destroy their lives, and how gossips can actually kill. really amazing.

okay, enough of spoiling the show. i can't really do drama reviews so i'll just give it a miss haha. anyway i guess you can only watch it to know how awesome it truly is. no wonder it's the top drama of 2008!

that aside, i just flipped my little scheduler at 12am only to realise that SENIOR CAMP IS TODAY!!!! ): ): ): gosh. and so i frantically packed and now that i'm done, i just wanted to write an entry on On Air before i forgot. hohoho.

omg. i just finished You're Beautiful. 16 episodes oh 1h5min per ep!!! started ytd at 12nn and now at 2am i finally completed OMG. :D :D :D

already suffering from very very bad withdrawal symptoms :X GOSHHHHHHHH.

glad that i watched it though, i finished it faster than expected. just that i wasted two days of mugging time away HOHO. two more days to mug for it so i'll have to work even harder tomorrow onwards!

oh yes, hcanoe outing was very, very sweeeeet (: missed these lovely teammies so much! glad that i got to catch up with most of them today! :D

if candee didn't suddenly pop by i would have finished typing this entry long ago -___- hahaha but still, it was fun having a short htht with her :P i think roomie j and her can become great friends! :P

anyway, had a super good stayover at yings on saturday night (: as usual, all the food, fun, and love. this time we skyped with chieh who's celebrating her 21st on tues, and grace and weixuan and nicholas and biondi too! wanted to skype with cihan but she's really really busy with her eggjams. tim and zong were nowhere to be seen, and kim was probably sleeping soundly because she had a tiring day. chiehh was EXTREMELY difficult to connect cos of her lousy internet connection. hehhhhhh :P

but yes, i love 78. i think i've said this far too often but i just can't help overusing it. hahaha. so we skyped till about 3 and the ntu peeps started doing work till about 6. collapsed on ying2's bed thereafter and woke up at 11am :D ate cake and left!

wednesday i'm going to meet 4g to celebrate jt's birthdayyyy :D eggcited!

and hmm. i hope high quality videos of my dramas come out sooooon. currently catching the very retarded momo love aka , the very serious autumn's concerto aka 下一站幸褔, the very stupidly funny but full of eye candies TOKYO DOGS, and the crazy wacky boxing show starring kimbum called DREAM. that's two taiwan dramas, one jap and another korean. and i want to start watching how i met your mother soon! :D oh no, i'm a hopeless drama addict :X but i only have one episode of each to watch every week! so it's perfectly reasonable :D

rain, rain!

the weather forecasts show that the next 3 days will be all rainy. HAPPPPYYYYY ((: i'm totally sick of the hot weather. and good thing is i don't have much plans the next few days! :D

and i'm so tired omg. yesterday lunched with bella at west mall's foodcourt because i needed to pass him his ext hdd full of nias photos, then at night i met up with the 78 people for kbox again at the ten dollar ktv! but somehow k-ing didn't feel quite right. hmmm. i wondered whether it is due to the fact that ying2 was around ): oh well. but at least she's learning something really interesting - interior designing! i wanna go for such classes too! it's a blessing to be able to follow your heart and do something you really love. i shall go for graphic design lessons with her next time! (:

and today i woke up with a really painful throat. thank God i had strepsils with me, leftover from the last time i had a bad throat. and my whole body felt really weak, even when i went down to get lunch i felt my legs shaking ): but thankfully during training it wasn't as bad, though the weak feeling still sustained. sighhhhhhhhh. i'm a pig.

suddenly looking forward to eating dinners with mel and haoxia! haha now that he's going to be near ntu all the time it'll be so much easier to meet up and talk. and ntu has loads of hcanoe peeps too! :D wheeee!

okay i'm not very coherent. AND I LOVE MR. BRAIN!

hohoho. takuya kimura rocks la, like seriously! and the character in the drama totally fitted him. heh! and i'm super impressed that the production crew actually got famous actors to star in some episodes, like kamenashi kazuya (KAT-TUN), Gackt (the singer), aibu saki (zettai kareshi), nakama yukie (gokusen), sato takeru (mei-chan no shitsuji, bloody monday), hirosue ryoko (summer snow) etc. and there's mizushima hiro (hana kimi, mei-chan, zettai kareshi) acting as a supporting cast as well! :D i'm super impressed.

as for the storyline, it's gooooooood. i shall leave it to dramawiki to explain it :P

and now i'm watching Black & White, starring Vic Chou (one of the tw F4) and wang chuan yi and mark chao, some ulu newbie who is actually quite good looking haha. not that fun actually :X but okay la, i shall watch more episodes to see how things go. 3 days of rain anyway! :D

omg it just hit on me suddenly how many people are getting into this kdrama kraze. like den will put it, seowwwwwwwwwwwww.

after not meeting meanie for suchalongtime~, i've just realised ytd that she's into kpop stuff! :D :D hahah like finally. we got marriedddddd + boys before flowers! and i really miss her all these while ): missed the times we hung out together after the As, talking on gmail chat because i have no msn while working, sending random emails whenever we were bored and going for jap classes and o school hiphop classes! working life was boring so i'm really thankful for her presence. it's just sad that we havent been catching up as much as we should be!

andden g just smsed early in the morning telling me she's addicted to bbf too. LIKE WTH THE MOST UNLIKELIEST PERSON. i think rimmel is super influential. and its the first time i ever heard g said "i think he is v v v v v v v v shuai". YAY KIMBUM! and heh finally mel's over lee min ho and decided to love kimbum instead. kimbum rocks laaaaaa.

and i have other friends like kityeng (who is actually still a major jpop fan but recently decided to share the love), tingyi, chit, huiying, benedict (who brought me into this whole kraze), xiaoyun (A!)  etc. etc.

rimmel complained that i don't update often ROARS. but i've been busy! :( :( :(

but it's been a terribly fruitful week and life will continue to be so for the next few days with loads of meet ups and yummy food! :D i'm glad i didn't procrastinate and instead organised a few outings and dates :) must meet my friends before i fly off for indo for ocip! 

so here's what've happened and what's going to happen:

saturday - lunch and pizza hut @ marina bay with sg 78-erS! which meant that there were only yy nd awx zong timo and me..... the rest were busy! so sad la. BUT this time, pam's around! :D :D :D thank God she's finally back in sg (: missed her so much and it was like super unreal when i touched her hand and talked to her! :P still felt like i was talking to a (computer) screen. HAH. but it was a great meetup anyways (: oh and after everyone left yy and i went for a short date to get her stuff muahaha. WHEEEEE.

sunday - met up with ocip people to settle stuff! not exactly a meet up because we were there for a good reason, but anyway it was super fun la! :D haha simply sitting on the floor learning bahasa indonesia from a malaysian, and learning the dance steps for the trip :P oh and the setting up of log!

sunday - dinner with hcanoe girls amanda lala leilei and awyong! hahaha wheee i thought of asking 5 of them only on friday night and all of them could actually make it! :D super amazing (: haha and apparently lei and la contacted the rest who ALL couldn't make it -___- hahaha so sad la. but anyways! we ate mykii over at holland v! :) too bad i was too full from the random stuff i ate during the ocip meeting with sihui :P hahaha. even suffered from a stomach upset after that :X

monday - ntucp dinner! (: to discuss nat champs and ivp stuffs and debrief for SPCPOC. met with g and mel for some coffee before that so we were like super early! heh. dinner was waraku @ heeren and i ate yummy beef + mushrooms and yakisoba! muahaha super satisfied. and i loved peisi's tamago sth udon soup! :P yummmmmssss.

tuesday - date with geoks at la nonna holland v! hahah thanks to the 50% discount coupon i got from lala on sunday (the staff gave the coupon to her while she was asking abt the food!)  looking forward already (: haven't met geok in ages la! i DATED her loh! :P

wednesday - dance practice + ocip meetup (to learn bahasa indo again!)

thursday - dinner: the crazy pre-post EEE AYE DEE parteeee! :D :D :D another thing to look forward to muahahaha. i organised this!

sunday - date with percussion babes heng min chong! (: (: (: AHHHHHH no words can express how much i misssss them :( :( :( we're finally meeting up la! :D and i organised this too! :P

so conclusion. i'm a good friend cos i organised so many outings. I WISHED SOMEONE COULD ORGANISE FOR ME more often. like TIMBRE KNOCK KNOCK. wonder what mr. clifford teo is doing la! lousie GL. hmrph.

OWARIMASHITA!

was supposed to blog in the 78 blog by order of the supreme leader of 78 yesterday while catching up with the (fake) commun*st, but i guess i couldnt resist the temptation of updating here.

oh gosh i think i'm losing momentum when it comes to blogging -__- ahhh.

anyways, as i was reading through the 78-ers blogs again (like i always do, using my google reader), i'm really really glad that i went hc during my jc years. it was like the best decision i ever made in my life. (: seriously i don't think i'll be happier anywhere else, not to offend anyone who isnt from hc, but hc really gave me an ideal environment to play hard and mug hard and enjoy life at its best. i wouldnt have enjoyed my prime years so much. in rj i would have died trying to be part of them, in nj it would just be a mere repeat of my rv years (which was of course, enjoyable as well) and that i wouldnt even considering joining canoeing over there (i'll prob have the same opinion as everyone else - "siao ah"). in sa it would have been fun, but it wouldnt spur me enough to mug as hard as i did.

and of cos, thank you 78 soo soooo much for making my jc life so fun (: and i'm so glad that everyone's been making the effort to keep up with each other - with those overseas and in singapore.

and yeah. i still find it funny how throughout my sec 2 and 3 years i've decided on rj, yet in sec 4 i suddenly changed my mind. oh wells. but talking to kennethkoh and kitling (rjcians) all these time while mugging for the eggxams was fun. we had different experiences in jc, yet we enjoyed them all the same. and they made me realise how lucky i am to be in hc, the best jc in singapore together with rj. i'm really proud to be part of the elite (but that doesnt mean i'm a elitist okay!!!)

okay that's it for the jc bits. now for a short summary of this recent papers. HORRIBLE. but fine at the same time. horribly hard, but i think i could do a decent percent of the paper to pull off at least an average of B+. which mean, i think can keep my 2nd upper! :D but i'm not sure about the results though. ah well, i shall only think about it nearer to the devilish date :P ranking by confidence:

SEVEN PAPERS. i've started on the 14th and ended on 29th. 15 DREADFUL DAYS + 1 MONTH of intensive mugging. and i'm still alive. quite amazing HAHA! but since it's over now, what is MORE IMPORTANT now is HOW should i make the rest of my life more eventful :D so i've decided to blog about HOLIDAY PLANS! 

firstly,  let us understand fully the characteristics of this summer hols:

1. although it starts on 29th April 2009 1130am technically, but given that there's EID (which herny smartly says - "die" in reverse. hmm does that mean LIFE then?), my EFIL starts on 6th June 2009.
2. i still have hall ocip to go for! which means i'm gone from 11th June to 24th June 2009. 
3. FOC senior camp and the actual FOC itself will prob take up 3 weeks before school starts....

so that leaves me with really really really little time. and seriously, the EID and OCIP robs me of any possibility of commiting into something that requires full time. arghhh. so here are the things i'll do and hope to achieve! :D

1. take up hiphop again, hopefully with grace chong!
2. canoe with hc juniors and maybe prepare for ncc...
3. learn how to cook some yummy stuffs from my mum
4. get a electric guitar and learn how to play it properly
5. have loads of stayovers!
6. sew a cover for my ipod
7. celebrate birthdays with the people i loveeee
8. write letters and send parcels to overseas friends (chiehhh dee cihan kimbo pammie and other peeps!)
9. SKYPE
10. make a habit to run everyday at the park (and become slim hahahah! goodbye flabby arms fat thighs and tummy!)
11. pack my room and throw away any useless stuff (eg. sec sch rubbish)
12. wash my dirty slippers and bags haha
13. go mambo ONCE

kim bum!

rather watching one part of FO on tudou, i decided to blog instead. because i felt like while doing math tut, but put it off simply because i couldnt afford to be distracted. and now i'm here, even though i was extremely tempted to procrastinate.

i'm starting to think that its difficult to get along with others, and its something that i learnt only after i got into university. this transition period was a tad too difficult for me - relationships no longer seem very pure to me, and making sure that i won't step on other peoples' toes while avoiding misunderstandings is not an easy task as well. it's harder to understand someone at this age, because of the numerous assumptions made and perceptions created during the first impression. making friends is no longer fun, and could become somewhat chore-like.

one moment we might seem like the best of friends, yet who knows the next moment we'll be turning our heads the opposite direction. sometimes we thought we knew each other very well, yet because we thought we knew,  we cross the line and misunderstandings are created. and its difficult to remove them because everyone's just so stubborn and the self is forever largely right. who's right who's wrong? does it matter that much? is forming negative opinions on each other useful in an already-fragile relationship? i don't know. yet the human mind chooses to do so and remain that way. the way where everything is based merely on perceptions.

i think the mouth is evil. the brain is evil too for being able to control the mouth. and when people get hurt, angry, or disgusted the fault mainly lies on it as well. but ironically it is the same mouth that allows people to survive. it is something we can't live without, and because we can't live without it, we'll have to live with it. and live with all the things that come out from the very same evil mouth. 

no matter what happens i want to create relationships that are simple and strong. i want to create relationships that won't be harmed through little misunderstandings and problems. i want to create relationships that no other mouths will be able to inflict damage on. i want to create relationships that are more than gaining mutual benefits from one another. i want to create, real, sincere, straight from the heart relationships. and i think true friendships (if that ever exists - i believe they do anyway) are the ones that keep us human, not the evil mouth. 

because i usually don't think too much into things, should i say something of a certain ambiguity i hope my friends will trust me that i mean no harm. should i hear something that isn't very pleasant i will choose to shut my ears and move away. should i get into a cold war i'd rather save the friendship than to save my pride.

i think that's who i am and who i want to be. and the kind of friend i want to be. sigh.

on a lighter note, boys over flowers was rockin' wonderful these two days! :D i'm starting to love kimbum a lot more, and OF COURSE, who can resist - LEE MIN HO! the 2 gorgeous men of F4. and not to forget the already very much loved kim hyunjoong! i'm sure hwangbo's watching your show hj :P can't wait to see how yijung and ga eul's love story will develop (: they look simply too good together! :D hahah the korean f4 beats the two previous version's f4 hands down! most of the time only 2 out 4 looks good but in the korean f4, everyone is o.O haha. seriously!

wahhhh i love this song by pan wei bo! (: been watching bu liang xiao hua (Miss No Good) starring rainie yang cheng lin and him since saturday and its not bad ((: pan wei bo's still as cute as ever :P just that i'm more used to him singing and rapping than acting -_- but not bad for a first time! :D and the combination's rather interesting as well, finally not another rainie x mike he collaboration :) and it actually kept me addicted! haha there isn't many shows that can keep me addicted nowadays... yawnnnnn.

ahh my aching bones. yesterday was a tiring day with waking up at 7am in the morning, 14km worth of paddling for a little less than two hours, netball ihg (which we won by a really small margin one 1 point), and polo training! went to watch ih badminton in the afternoon too :X its really hard to imagine myself playing competitively in badminton again really. but sometimes when i think back to my primary school days i could still vaguely remember by first victory in an actual tournament. my first win. but i thought that i wasn't good enough later on in rv so i didnt join badminton again :( but its okay, i don't regret it cos i love band as much too :)

and now i've finally regained a lil bit of my tanned skin! wheeeeee :) just that i'm a little burnt and my toenail's dropping off. so gahhhhhhhh.

met up with les ki susan and geok again on sunday! :D thanks for the niceeee dinner and the super good belated mrs fields birthday brownies that ki's mother made :) i had a fun time on sunday! :D time to work on the photos soooon :D

and yays, finished Miss No Good and caught up with Family Outing! :D but there's still MANY things to catch up on. like Worlds Within and Bleach and First Kiss and Code Blue T_T omg why is december so short?!

okays! am tired. shall return to the usual stoning. :)

HAHA. seriously, daesung (Big Bang) is one funny guy! :D i think jiyoungie (G-dragon, also from Big Bang) has written a perfect song for him - perfectly retarded! :D :D :D but i totally love dae sung and his funny antics in Family Outing! :P

me loves FO! :D for the fun and laughters and the meaningfulness of the whole show in itself :) i love how suro and chunhee have this love-hate relationship, the dumb&dumber brothers joonshin and daedae, the extremely full of ideas hyori, and the sweet looking but truly devillish yejin :P plus the old man jongshin who always acts like a patient! :P and DAESUNG! why do you always do stupid things! :P

... and this video is one of the episodes where the family does their morning exercise together - along to the music and dance of dae sung's own song! LOL. check out the stupid version dae sung danced at the end by COMBINING all the family members' dances HAHA. HE IS SO STUPID :P but i likeeeeee :)

and look, you'll have no other choice but to love daesung's retardedness after looking at Big Bang's Sunset Glow MV :P muahahaha daesung!

the latest ep of the world that they live in was super gooooooood (: i love the way how the characters in the drama develop, learn, and pass it on to the viewers. it makes watching the show meaningful and i love it whenever i gain something from that one hour in front of the screen :D

particularly loved the scene where the camera man scolded joonyoung, and the last scene when she finally explained to ji-ho that she was really shy about the things that happened, and ji-ho stating that though he was complaining about the difference they had and how he seemed to not understand her, he realised that it was this difference and inability to understand that keeps them going. for it is this lack of understanding that made him wanted to know more about her and keeps them together. ahhhh seriously soooo sweet of you hyunbin! :P and now i'm tempted to go to the venue of the last scene (they took that scene along singapore river haha).

december 22: boys over flowers (: aka hana yori dango! i think korean dramas are getting better (: haha but of cos, my true love will still be jdramas :P

who can resist HYUNBIN + SONG HAEGYO (better known for her stints in qiu tian de tong hua and full house)?! hahaha i'm so glad i decided to catch this in impulse, though its only at its 2nd episode T_T which is good cos i wont watch the drama day and night. i'm CONTROLLABLE. hahaha. ahhh hyunbin is too charming (: i am reminded again of why i'm so in love with him while watching Kim Sam Soon. hahhaha!

ahaha. anyway i've been listening to mayday like MAD. and its the whole album each time! can't help it but i loveee the whole album as it is. not the individual songs, but all the songs in its order (: it gives me a super nice feeling! though at times i'll feel like listening to certain songs :P haha. like my dearest guaishou's in my previous entry! :P

muahaha. shall bathe and back to ep 2 of worlds within :P
