the little longweekend getaway (:

omg until now i've yet to update my weekend getaway at JB!!! wtfreak. i hope i don't forget any single bit of the awesome trip i had with my dears in hall 9 - roomie leen toh & jeremylim! woooots.

Day 1.

met toh & j at kranji MRT. queued for some time before boarding 170. drank bubble tea :D

crossed the singapore checkpoint safely (: only to see a horrendously long queue waiting for us!!! we queued for 2 hours just to board 170 to cross the border -__- darn tired. but nevertheless we knew everything's going to be so darn worth it. oh yes, 3 of us queued at the wrong line and so when we reached closer to the end we decided to just transfer lane to that of 170's haha. oops.

after that super big jam on the causeway (well, it's the beginning of the long weekend. no surprise there.), we were invited to yet another long queue at the msia checkpoint!!! in the end roomie and i were so tired we just sat on the floor. and guess what, we were trendsetters! many others around us did so too. it made a lot of sense to do so because we queued for another hour there.

so after we FINALLY managed to enter msia proper, we crossed over to city square for some portuguese chicken rice & egg tarts! 3 of us shared 2 plates. yummy TTM! :D :D and after the very satisfying meal, we took a cab down to our hotel and permas jaya (:

oh yes, i've yet to mention about our super cheap hotel LOL! thanks to toh who found it & booked it online, our room was just 57RM a night!!! super cheap can!!! and the first night 3 of us shared it and 2nd night there was 5 of us (: and we all could sleep comfortabley cos it was a queen sized bed which has that double layer thing and all we did is to shift the mattress down andden we could all sleep comfortably together. super shiok can! and super duper cheap!!

and yeaps, when we finally found the hotel, it was pretty awesome (: it looked like those hotel 81s you see in singapore really, just much cheaper. and around us was some hawkers which looked like they sell amazing food, and nearby there was lots of pubs plus a rather big JUSCO and a super romantic place just next to it. (: oh yes, there was some place like this too:

and so after we checked in, we stoned in the hotel for about 2 hours (after all the queueing we deserved that rest!) and meanwhile checked online about the stuff we could do around the hotel. we even watched little nonya on channel 8 lol! after that we decided that we shouldnt waste this little holiday of ours and so we got up on our feet and walked to JUSCO (: (:

and btw, some blogger wrote that there was A&W there! so we excited went to check the directory but it wasn't written in there ): budden as we walked down, we saw this little orange sign with that big bear OMG! :D so happy can~ so we walked in and ordered coney dogs, root beer floats and curly fries! AWESOME TTM! :D hahaha shucks roomie better send me the photos soon hahaha.

after eating, we walked around to familiarise ourselves with the place then went grocery shopping haha! bought some beer & chips andden walked to the romantic place to see see :P took some photos andden walked back to our hotel (:

went back, drank a bit (we didnt have any bottle openers so we had to use that metal bar behind the drawer hahaha!), watched kingkong, played psp, bathed, then went to bed :D shiokkkkk.

Day 2.

woke up one hour later than we planned cos toh's phone died (he set the alarm). roars hahaha. anyway we decided to take a bus down to city square to catch shrek, eat brunch, shop a bit before picking leen & jlim up from the checkpoint (: and so we asked for directions, walked to the bus stop, and the bus NEVER came! hahaha super duper hard la. we didnt even know how to take the bus from the opposite side or which bus goes where. here's how the bus stop looks like, btw.

i heard this is considered a good bus stop already!

and so we saw a cab and flagged it down instead. hahaha! andden when we finally reached city square, we found the cinema, bought tickets for shrek, then headed to marrybrown for some msian fastfood haha. and it was actually very good! :D nice juicy chicken with mushroomssss :D seriously very decent for its price hehhh.

we were too engrossed in eating that we forgot to take pictures of the food. omg. but check out roomie's very satisfied smile! :D

after that we went to the cinema and watched SHREK! not the best shrek ever but well, shrek is shrek and will forever be that super entertaining movie with super lame jokes hehhhh. but i'm particularly sad when fat puss-in-boots ate gingy up!!! ROARS! oh yes, dearest cat still looked damn cute teary eyed while being fat! HOHO.

after shrek, we walked around to do some shopping :D bought my 2 way backpack! :D hohoho. after looking around for quite some time, we decided to have a tea break at some hawker-look-alike place which sold usual kopitiam drinks and laksa (: and the laksa was quite flavourful :D yumsss. the 3 of us shared a bowl cos i couldnt eat much due to a very upset stomach :X oh gosh.

we continued with our shopping (i saw chit & leepeng!) after that & leen & jlim joined us over at FOS (: hohoho. bought a pair of slippers & a yellow basic top there while roomie bought a pair of canvas shoes~ wooots. oh yes, because the two were late by 3 hours (they said they were coming at 2!), we decided to head back to our hotel by BUS :D haha 5 people can't share a cab you see. but before that, the 3 girls wanted to shop a little bit so we hung around for 45 mins or so. i bought a small little vintage bag while roomie bought a pretty nice sling bag! leen bought pretty heeeels. jealoussss ): haha.

and so, after meeting up with the guys once again, we made our way to the bus stop and waited for like half an hour before the bus finally came! omg.

but yeaps, the bus ride was quite an experience. super squeezy when we first boarded really. my feet were dying :X but halfway through we had seats so the 3 of us girls shared 2 seats haha.

when we finally reached the hotel, we tried to trick aileen into the toilet!! hahaha. cos when i first entered the toilet, i turned the knob and successfully locked myself in. i had to spend ten minutes using whatever little tools i have in the toilet to get myself out can! super funny. thankfully i'm an engineer la haha! we wanted aileen to get stuck too but planned failed. dearest friend is too careful and untrusting to us haha :P

headed to senibong in a cab after that! managed to persuade the cabbie to let us squeeze since senibong's really near :P and at senibong, we looked around first before deciding which seafood restaurant to go to & in the end we decided on the one closest to where we dropped -__- haha.

senibong's really nice! other than the fact that the sea view is actually the straits PLUS singapore. how unexciting. hahaha. but other than that everything else is super good! fresh seafood, rather cheap prices, and good atmosphere. (: pretty much everything i ask for in a cheap seafood dinner! :D

hohohoh. definitely going back there again! :D but after that we couldnt get any cabs and we were super full so we decided that it was close enough for us to walk back! :P and lim had gps on his blackberry. hoho. and so we walked for a good half an hour back including directly beside that darn busy road which didnt have any passenger pavements :X oh gosh. damn scary but damn eggciting! hoho.

headed to jusco after that for MORE A&W hahaha. super hopeless. then walked around with the girls while the guy got some beer for us :) it was getting late so no shopping for us! instead, we headed to coffee trap which looked quite cool from the outside hehh. but haha in the end it was just some filipinos singing (and the 3 of them had tummies andden they still wear sports bra lookalikes omg!!) haha. but they're singing was seriously quite zai, just that the song choices... LOL TTM!

can you imagine. there were songs like LEMON TREE, 1973 by James Blunt, Fire by 2NE1 (!!!!), NOBODY, and some other rock numbers and what not. seriously super funny can! haha but it's not bad la. at first it was quite boring but ultimately the music became much nicer. hoho. i think the beer took its effect. :P :P lim super evil, i was telling him that one of the singers not bad then he say "drink more beer and they'll look prettier" HAHAHA.

went back to the room and had an awesome night of games & beer & htht-ing (: hohoho. it was quite funny seriously! but details.... shall be dropped :)

slept at about 4 plus cos i think we were all too tired from the travelling haha.

Day 3.

woke up at about 11 and the first thing we did was to head for JUSCO's A&W for breakfast! LOL. the usual waffles plus curly fries plus rootbeer float omg. A&W for the third consecutive day ahaha. but somehow i wasn't sick of it yet. hoho.

after our lunch we finally got a chance to shop at JUSCO! :D leen roomie and i walked around the females section very much and looked at all the bags. oh and i bought the cap that i saw on the first day~ very niceeee~ heh. after an hour of shopping, we decided to head to baskin robbins for some ice cream! hahaha selfish desire of mine simply because Big Bang & Wonder Girls endorsed BR in korea. HAHA. but in the end i think udders is better. so no more BR ever again :P

after ice cream-ing, we went back to our hotel, packed up and checked out. it was already two! and so we took two cabs down to city square again, dropped by the portuguese place again for some egg tarts and yuen yang with grass jelly (: and i bought back a few egg tarts! yumms.

cleared the checkpoints pretty fast (: i guess the crowd's not there yet. phew. so we were back in singapore by 3.30pm. and that was when we partedddd ): ): and it's officially the end of our little getaway haha. spent a total of 400RM approx! quite worth it i would say. haha.

decided to head to NCC for service after much internal struggling. haha. damn tired plus i had to lug my backpack along. zzz. but thank God the circle line's station just right next to carrefour! so i didnt had to walk much. only after the service did i have to lug my backpack to esplanade just to catch the bus back omg. but service was by pastor lian and it was damn awesome btw. updated previously alr! :D but anyway i'm proud of myself for such determination haha!
