walk.

i seem to forget this space very easily nowadays.

but i guess it's easier to remember only when i'm feeling extremely exhilarated or emo. and so since i'm neither these few days (which is a good thing actually!) i'll only come back here when i don't feel like doing anything else.

anyway, the past 10 days since my last entry have been spent going around the country, taking photos, hanging out with friends, and doing things i love. i've managed to cancel quite a number of things in my to-do list, but i've yet to start on my original plans - cooking and video editing, which bothers me quite a bit because i can't seem to break my inertia and get myself to start on it. i managed to do some impromptu stuff though, like sewing a pouch with material from a pair of denims which i could no longer fit in, and travel many places beyond museums in singapore. as much as possible, i try to do things for the first time.

you know, i really like to do things for the first time. there's a feeling of nervousness and excitement every time before i embark on a new project or go a new place, and then when you're doing it or at that place itself, i've got that "ahhhh so this is what i've been waiting for" kinda feeling. most of them are beyond what i expected, and that's great because it just makes the process more fun. :) but well, the sad thing is the number of things that you can do for the first time drops by one whenever i complete something.

anyhow, i shall just go straight to updating this space.

12 August, Friday

headed to railway mall after lunch to visit the tracks and take some photos before they get demolished. i think this is the second time i've been there even though i stay so close to it, and the first time i've been at the tracks itself o.O it's easy to miss things when they're close to you, since it's not difficult to take them for granted. you know, that feeling of "it's always going to be there anyway so i can visit it any time". it's the same for people sometimes and that makes it rather sad.

the short walk along the track was quite interesting; it seemed like another world that isn't really singapore. i've finally been on the rail bridge i've gone under a million times, and it was interesting reading what others vandalised on the tracks itself after the trains stopped operating. anyway, i'll just let the photos do the talking.

after that, i walked to memories at old ford factory, which was about 3 bus stops away and waited for jessie there before entering that museum.

the museum's really small as compared to all those big museums in town, with only a single gallery which is mainly full of content and less of exhibits and a theatre to watch some awesome WWII video in the singaporean context. jessie and i covered the exhibits in about an hour and spent another half an hour at the theatre. oh there were just a few others there as well, half of them foreigners. i bet they must be thinking this probably shouldn't even be called a museum haha.

with that said however, i still think the place is worth a visit (: there are still things you can't find elsewhere and it gives an interesting peek into the japanese occupation itself.

went back home and rested for a while before heading out at about 10 to meet fw and ct at dhoby ghaut so that we could join the rest of the niners at st games in cathay for 9-5! i had a hard time deciding whether to go or not since the people i get along with are mostly gone, but fw asked me in the afternoon and so i said yes. turned out to be quite a wise choice! :D after meeting the two of them, we headed to macs first for supper as ct was hungry then hurried our way up to st games for some video gaming :D and it was super fun! i played raving rabbids for a while before going to check out the guitar heroes in one of the rooms, sang a song, andden went into the kinect room to watch some freshies dancing (and in the end yy kc and i sorta took over -____-) haha. super fun la! totally loved the game! kc was super pro and she managed to get super good ratings lol! i could only dance those hiphop ones and so we did benny benassi's satisfaction together and that was the awesomest of all! :D wooooots.

after our time at st games ended, we headed out of the place and i ended up talking to wanting where she updated me some stuff o.O oh gosh. and that made me feel pretty bad the rest of the day, because i realised exactly how stupid i was (okay i think i typed an entry on this before so i shall not go on) and errr, i'm actually not a very nice person to others. eeeks. thankfully the bus ride was quite enjoyable with daryl talking loads of rubbish and fw for just being there and hearing me out (he knew i was a little emo) and very soon we were at east coast park for some prawning!

 prawning was pretty boring at the start. there was fw daryl wt germ and i sharing two rods with a couple of seniors around us but the prawns barely bit :( it was quite depressing at the start with the others around us catching a few prawns area while fw and daryl were still struggling haha. in the end wt and i decided to get some food and beer and so we walked to macs area with toh & santiago following. got 6 bottles of beer and bought some macs then went to one of the benches near the prawning area to chill and eat our food :D fw and germ joined us there and it was awesome drinking and eating and talking by the shore :) hahaha better than prawning itself!

 after hanging outside for like an hour or so, we went back in and attempted to catch some prawns and i managed to catch one in like 10 mins! :D so did germ and wt heehee. that more or less satisfied us and so we ended up slacking and eating prawns till it was time to go back. took the bus with fw again but we were all so tired so most of us were sleeping. by the time we got back to hall, i headed to miang's room, washed up and fell asleep at about 6.30am , which meant 2 hours of sleep before i head out for training the next morning. haha.




13 August, Saturday

went for polo trg early in the morning and it was super hot! -___- and a few of them pangsehed so we didn't have enough people to form two teams ): booooo. but it was still fun la, i've always enjoyed playing polo in a relaxed environment heehee! plus the people that were present are mostly from our batch, which really rocks :D

headed for lunch at canteen 2 after washing up and ate awesome western! after hanging around for a bit, yuenling and lance came over to look for me and i sat down with them instead (since i promised to!) and we talked for like 2 hours until 3 :) me loves yuenling! i hope we'll always meet up once in a while all the time :D

14 August, Sunday

went for service after missing last week's. awesome stuff as usual!

15 August, Monday

spent nua-ing at home. :D

16 August, Tuesday

went to amk for dinner with justin and herny! ate astons at the kopitiam nearby and talked for almost 2 hours before heading down to koi. then we went back for some curry puffs which was closed already andden went back to the macs area before we headed home. haha the things we talk about now has scarily changed to much more realistic and practical things, which sorta frightens me a bit, but nevertheless it was a good talk since it really brings me back to reality some times. it gets difficult especially after i hang around so much with same age kids and people younger than me which makes me forget the fact that i'm no longer a student anymore.

anyway, it was great catching up :D they've always been people i'm really comfortable with! and work seems scary. roars.

17 August, Wednesday

spent nua-ing at home again! :D but i've settled many things - printed 92 photos, went to send my 3 work bottoms for altering, and satisfied my curry chicken noodles craving hahaha.
