okay, i guess i FINALLY removed that damned virus after much effort trying to search online and blah blah blah. THAT STUPID VIRUS WHICH:

1. PLACED PORN LINKS ON MY DESKTOP
2. runs loads of some whatever programs
3. CLOSES my internet explorer and chrome on its own for no reason
4. installs some lame Active Security program which i almost thought was some kind of new windows antivirus software and TURNED OUT TO BE SOME INSTALLER
5. keeps causing the Windows Firewall thing to pop out (with some warning blah blah blah)
6. AVG couldn't detect
7. made me DAMN uneasy

and guess how i got it. I WAS LOOKING FOR HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER ONLINE. GRRR.

and it didnt help that YESTERDAY NIGHT, after contracting that virus, the internet went downnnnnn (all the way till 4am it still didnt work!), the whole of 47 was making a hell lot of noise (probably because the internet was down so everyone had to entertain each other some way or another - eg. by playing the saxophone HORRIBLY), and i totally couldnt focus on my marketing text and propulsion notes because the sick laptop was still bugging me.

and so i went to aileen's room to seek refuge and so that i could distract myself from all those frustrations.

which turned out to be gooood! loi joined us shortly after i came. the three of us just simply surfed that little internet she had through NBS's system, talked rubbish, and self-entertained. AND I SAW TUNA (the cat) EATING A LIZARD. OMG.

but ya, i was so much relieved. but the tension induced headache made me super feverish and bloated so i was quite zzzz subsequently. talked till 4, then went back to room, popped two panadols and went to sleep.

andden i got woken up by a call from CAO about IA. not very good news. in fact from her i knew i was not confirmed (2 others were). but i'm still hoping for the best. not confirmed doesn't mean no hope, right? (: and it seems like they're opening up another position for me.

so yeah, now leaving it up to God. but i know i'll get it, deep inside. because i believe i will.

but yes! i was still thinking earlier that huo4 bu4 dan1 xing2. but now that my lappie's fixed perhaps everything will be smooth-sailing from now onwards (: okay, JIAYOU JIAYOU JIAYOU.

after lunch i'm going to mug mug mug andden study a bit then attend classes. wooots. goodbye for now :D

TIMELINE:

• November 5 - 9.52pm: searched for the website. entered some weird looking place. exited immediately.
• November 5 - 9.55pm: internet suddenly shut down. weird.
• November 5 - 9.57pm: shuts down again. decided to restart my computer
• November 5 - 9.58pm: windows firewall pops up some warning about some program. i knew something was wrong.
• November 5 - 10.03pm: quickly reinstalls avg. virus scanned. update failed cos internet died. gone.
• November 5 - 10.30pm: no results after half an hour of scanning. panics.
• November 5 - 10.45pm: still no results. SCARED.
• November 5 - 11.00pm: tried to continue mugging. cannot focus. headache.
• November 6 - 12.00am: nothing works. 47 very noisy. SUPER frustrated.
• November 6 - 12.30am: tried to play psp to distract myself. failed.
• November 6 - 12.50am: escapes to aileen's rooom.
• November 6 - 4.00am: goes back to room to sleep.
• November 6 - 10.30am: virus still on the loose when i started my comp.
• November 6 - 11.00am: internet's finally back. faster downloaded more antivirus softwares etc.
• November 6 - 11.10am: noticed some weird sounding file called wow64main.exe while scanning. immediately went to the folder to check. searched online. FOUND THE VIRUS!
• November 6 - 11.20am: failed to delete the file. FLUSTERED.
• November 6 - 11.30am: found the process on my task manager. HAPPY. ended it together with another weird sounding file. SUCCESS. deleted the two files. SUCCESS.
• November 6 - 11.33am: checked whether all is okay including searching for all the processes online. FEELS GOOD.
• November 6 - 11.45am: officially done. PHEW.
