it's been such an amazing night that it felt such a waste sleeping it away. getting a lil emotional but at least it's on the positive side. and somehow now that i've completed my last IH match, it feels like there's some part of me that will disappear together with it. i can't help but to think, when would i ever get a chance to do this again? after 4 years of IH, it's over. no more IH anymore. omg.
but at least my final year's IH was an amazing one. :) basketball, the sport i've always loved, with the most amazing team i've seen in my 4 years in hall 9. it's almost a dream come true. :D the past three years have been trainings with very poor attendance, half-hearted teams, with passion that burned like a little candle.
but this year's different; whenever i called the team down for trg, no matter how last minute it was, there was always enough people to train. and even if i didnt plan for one, they would enthusiastically call me down to shoot or else bug me for trainings (i found myself trg 2-3 times a week as a result!). even for pre-planned trgs, our dearest ivp players would come down and train us personally, and even though the rest of us are very inexperienced, they continued to teach us patiently until we got at least our basics right. they never scolded us, nor were they ever impatient with us. :) they were always encouraging, and undeniably the bestest coaches we ever had :D
and you know what, we've improved so much. so, so much together as a team!
and can you imagine the passion that everyone in the team had? it was simply amazing. everyone was glowing and sincerely in love with the sport. and everyone had the desire to become better at it and constantly helped each other to improve. and just for that, this would have easily earned the best team i've ever had in hall 9 :D though it was a regret that we couldnt play all the players during the matches, everyone nevertheless turned up for trgs religiously and never grumbled - and became each others' best supporters. (but i really hope that even though they might not be able to put what they've learnt to use now, they would be able to do so the next two years :) because i'm very sure they'll go far with the passion they have!)
i just can't describe fully how thankful i am for this 4th and last IH. :) though we didnt manage to make it to the finals eventually, and though i wasn't able to put in my best during the last two matches, but yeaps, i'll never forget these past few weeks. thanks for the amazing journey, thanks for taking me to semis, thanks for making it so fun. :) i love you girls!!!
